Overdue ladies...

How dilated are you and has your doctor scheduled an induction date?

I am only 1 cm dilated but my doctor said my cervix feels ready to go. If baby doesn't come on her own I will be induced on Tue. the 6th and I am really nervous! I want her to come on her own because I am scared the induction could turn out to be a lot harder wether it lasts days or I have to get a c-section. Sounds like they will insert something down there that will get the cervix going, then if I dilate to 3 or 4 break my water, then get some pitocin going. I'm still hoping she comes on her own. I am sure you girls are in the same boat in some way or another.

All I can say is being overdue sucks! My emotions have been all over the place and I am extremely uncomfortable. I just had to vent that. Again I know you ladies are probably feeling the same thing.

Lets get these babies out! Big Smile

    I am not overdue, but I was induced with DD and it was not bad. I felt very prepared going into the hospital and everything happened really fast. I hope this gives you some comfort, if your baby does not come on her own.

    i was induced at 39 weeks and 4 days- had a pretty fast labor- was 2cm when i went in...

    I have an u/s tomorrow to see what the problem is.  I have a sneaky suspicion that she has turned breech.  She has not dropped at all - NO progress.  She may just be too big...yes, it is a very emotional/frustrating waiting game.  So far no induction date, but I would bet we have to get a c-section...we'll see tomorrow.  GL to you!

    Today is my due date and they are inducing first thing tomorrow morning. I really hoped he would come on his own, but doesn't seem like he wants to.

    Last appt. I was only dialated 1cm and 80% effaced
