Well, not dramatic with intent for my kid, but funny for sure. At eight months old I doubt he has that level of smarts yet, but H was ridiculous going down for his nap today. After alternating between laughing fits, crying, grunts, and wall kicks I let him on the bed with me. He promptly crawled on top of my legs and passed out on my boney knees, where he's been for the last 40 minutes. Any attempt to move on my part has resulted in soft whimpers from him.
So I'm cruising O&D and wondering if anyone wanted to share a story of their kids pre-sleep drama?
Re: Dramatic nap/bedtime stories?
It's usually really simple- I'll rock her for a couple minutes until she's sleepy , take the pacifier out of her mouth, then lie her down still slightly awake. She usually doesn't make a peep about it.
Tonight, she started screaming at me when I took away her pacifier, and it confused me, so I gave it back. I waited a few minutes, and tried again- same thing, she just started yelling.
I wasn't going to do this all night, so I just set her down in the crib as if everything was normal..... She went right to sleep! Not a peep!
Who wouldn't want to be rocked to sleep? Little grump. I guess I can take a hint, lol
