Excited, but disappointed....

Hello all. I went in this morning for another scan and blood work (I went in yesterday as well). My actual RE did the scan today, which I was really glad about. After the scan he came in and told us that our ER would be either Monday or Tuesday (yay!!!). But then he said that he is guessing he will only get 5-7 eggs
He said with my stats that they had expected me to respond more to the meds I was on. The office called back later and told me to trigger tonight at 10 pm and that my ER  is set for Monday at 10am. I also go back tomorrow morning for more labs. I am so excited to continue this process and go to the next stage, but I can't help to be super disappointed that we won't have many eggs. The doctor didn't seem too concerned but said we most likely won't have any to freeze   I am just really worried we won't have anything to transfer. Uggghhhhh

I'm sorry . It's so hard when the Dr says they hoped for more. I really hope you have a some strong ones in the bunch. Fx for you!

I've had the same issue.  My hormone levels look good, but I just don't respond well to stims.  Hopefully 5-7 eggs is all you need!

Quality over quantity! I hope they are the most amazing 5-7 eggs . I know it's hard not to worry, I think we'd worry no matter what. Fingers crossed for you! GL with trigger

Hope all works out! I know the feeling, with my age my RE want to do two retrievals before even doing a transfer. That's pretty saddening but I hold high hopes that he knows what he's doing. Good luck. Hope this is your time! [:

Agree with quality of quantity! I have about 30 follicles, they were expecting to get about 20-25 mature eggs. I only had 11 and, of them, only 6 fertilized - with PCOS, I had a definite egg quality issue. However, we were able to do a 5 day SET and still have 4 frosties!
