Hey there- thanks for checking in! ?My holiday pretty much sucked since I am STILL waiting to miscarry (u/s showed no baby, just sac) and the 27th marked the one year anniversary of my brother's death. ?UGH!

The boys, however, had a great Christmas and Hanukah and were thrilled with Santa's selection of gifts for them. ?They also loved all the family get togethers. ?I am feeling emotionally drained about my whole life circumstances right now but am trying to remain as positive as possible around the boys. ?Eric was sooo sweet and said to me, "It's ok, Mommy! ?If you just wish harder, you can have another baby in your tummy."

?How are you feeling? ?Glad to almost be done with the 1st trimester? ?Did you guys stay in town for the holiday or have to travel?

Awww. What a sweetie Eric is. Having children already when you go through a miscarriage is so bittersweet. You have them to distract you, but they also remind you of just how much you've lost--not just the baby but the potential of another beautiful child to love:(  I'm so sorry the holidays were hard for you. Things will get better, though. There's just no other option;) All those trite sayings are of little comfort when you're hurting so much, so I'll spare you! Just know that there are people here for you all day, every day and you don't have to be strong for us. Many know what it's like to experience a loss, and all can certainly empathize.

I am feeling fine, thank you for asking! I'm relishing how long the first tri. always seems to drag on. I will need all 38+ weeks to feel ready for this baby. Every day my husband seems to get a little more excited about it, which such a relief. We traveled to Sacramento on Christmas day and visited his extended family. We shared the news with them and everyone was excited. But, if one more person asks me if I plan to get my tubes tied after this one I will scream. Leave my effing falopian tubes out of it, please! Ben and Emily had the best Christmas. Both enjoyed everything the season had to offer and it was such a joy to experience it through them. I much prefer Christmas as a parent than as just an adult. They make the stress worth it.
