I got the phone call I feared

A some of you may know. I tested positive for BRCA gene mutation. I just got a call that my mom has breast cancer. If anyone has helped anyone through this or has any thoughts please share. I know she is going to need a lot of help and care these next few months so I'm trying to do my best to remain calm right now.

I'm so sorry to hear that!!! What horrible news!! Good luck!! I'm sure your mom will need lots of support as she fights!!! So many women successfully kick cancer, so hopefully your mom will come out even stronger! Your family is in my prayers!

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry you got that call. My aunt had and beat breast cancer. Did they catch it early with your mom? Do you know what stage it is? Survival rates are so good now, I'm praying your mom helps boost those numbers.

Thanks for the support ladies! The good news is it was caught early and with the BRCA my mom opted for a double masectomy. She is doing well and recovering now. We will beat this!!!
