Re: PgAL Check In
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? Next week starts my weekly appts (high risk) and the week after my twice weekly NSTs begin.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Just some general discomfort, exhaustion, trouble sleeping.
QOTW: Will you be delivering at the same hospital that you had your Angel baby/babies? Why or why not and how does this make you feel? Yes, everyone was amazing and I know I am in very capable hands. It also helps that the mother/baby unit has changed floors, so I'm hoping a change of scenary will help a little.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? I just can't wait to meet my rainbow.

32w6d and I think baby is a squash...
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
We had our 32 week appt last Wed and got a growth scan, baby looks great and is measuring 1.5 ahead, but I know he just had a growth spurt so I'm not too worried about his size. My cerclage is being removed in 4 weeks and that just blows my mind that I am that close.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions?
Just feeling big and clumsy and I can no longer get off the couch without help and I have to roll out of bed.
QOTW: Will you be delivering at the same hospital that you had your Angel baby/babies? Why or why not and how does this make you feel?
No. I had a great (all relative to the situation) experience where Alice was born, but I was never moved to the mother/baby part. After my cerclage placement this pregnancy I was moved to the mother/baby section and I just didn't have the best experience on that side. The other hospital is great and you deliver and recover in the same room. If I had to or for some reason ended up at the same hospital it would be alright too.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
I can't believe I am so close and that this little guy is doing so great. We got the crib up and the nursery is in the final stages. It is all feeling a lot more "real"
23w grapefruit
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
I have a cervical check on Wednesday. Luckily my drs understand my PGAL brain and are doing it just for my own peace of mind.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions?
Surprisingly I have been desperate for Cheerios and peanut butter. I must not run out of these things!
QOTW: Will you be delivering at the same hospital that you had your Angel baby/babies? Why or why not and how does this make you feel?
We'll be delivering at the same hospital Elliott and Ryland were born. For all that our situation was tragic the medical staff were absolutely amazing and they have the only level 3 NICU in the area in case we were to have a ptl issue again. It's hard to think of giving birth in the same place again, but I know this experience will be different so I try to comfort myself with that.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
Just looking forward to reaching viability. This week I am more pregnant than I've ever been as we lost Elliott and Ryland at 22w5d. I just pray that these babies continue to grow strong for a long time to come.
@PerkyErky you're cerclage removal is super close... I'm jealous lol.
Today baby girl is 25w3d I think she's a cauliflower this week?
I have an appointment on Thursday and I'll be asking about getting an fFN test as well as hopefully having a cervical length check. FX it'll all be good news
QOTW: I delivered Edyn here in my hometown which was the best place for me to be because everyone is so friendly and familiar so it helped alot. With Lorelei we were sent by air life to a bigger hospital with a NICU but it was so much bigger and frankly not as well kept so im hoping we get to stay in town with this baby but of course if anything warrants a stay a the more advanced hospital then I'll just have to deal with it...
Open Topic: bedrest is driving me insane!! I just want to be able to do a few things around the house or take a nice LONG hot shower. Im going on week 7 of br and I still have 10 more weeks to go before I can start being a little more active, but on the other hand if baby can stay on the inside for 10 more weeks it'll all be worth it.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? 2x weekly NSTs start next week as well as BPPs every other weeks.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? I have had a ton of energy the last few days (helps that I have gotten some good sleep), and have been putting it to good use. I think I am wearing DH out though...
QOTW: Will you be delivering at the same hospital that you had your Angel baby/babies? Why or why not and how does this make you feel?
Yes, same hospital. I loved the experience in such an awful situation, so I hope that it is as good or better in this situation. I just keep telling myself this is different, so that helps. Also, a week after we lost her, I purposefully went back in with DH to thank the nurses and also to make sure my next time in L&D was not the first since losing Elsie.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Just trying to get through this week, looking forward to the NSTs and hoping that those help ease my mind. Baby has a good pattern of movement, and he has started doing just little things when I put my hand on my belly. I thank him each time, because its just a little more reassurance.
23 weeks 4 days. Baby is the size of a grapefruit.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
A regular appointment on Wednesday, with my 1 hour glucose screening.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions?
QOTW: Will you be delivering at the same hospital that you had your Angel baby/babies? Why or why not and how does this make you feel?
Yes. It's the only hospital where my OB delivers and it's got one of the best NICUs in the area. I have no complaints about the care we received with Eleanor, and I hope it will be comforting to be around people who know what we've been through before.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
DS1 - 7/2011, DD 12/2012, DS2 - 4/2014, MMC - 12/2015
How far along are you? What size fruit is your baby this week?
22 weeks, I'm not really keeping of with the fruit sizes.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
Nothing this week.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions?
I've been feeling pretty good, no real cravings or aversions.
QOTW: Will you be delivering at the same hospital that you had your Angel baby/babies? Why or why not and how does this make you feel?
Yes, I will. I have a love/hate relationship with the hospital I delivered at. I hate them because my daughter died under their care, and I wish they had paid more attention to me when I was worried. But the nurses were so wonderful and caring and supportive, I have no idea how I would have gotten through the birth without them.
After the delivery some family members and friends slightly suggested that I should find a new hospital. Or that a city hospital isn't good. The one I had her at is in a large city, and serves a lot of different people; some women who have had no prenatal care just walk in off the street ready to have a baby, and some affluent people with prestigious careers are cared for there. They have one of few level III nicu's in the area, and I think it's a good choice for me. Plus, I feel like because they know my history so well, I can basically do/have what every I want and they will take me very seriously.
