I'm a midget and hauling that freaking car seat is killing me.  I have his convertible all ready to go but I love being able to cover him in the house and I love being able to put him down in a hurry in case my 3.5 year old comes down with a case of 3.5 year old-itis and is a giant pain in my ass or takes off.  I'd be more willing if it was spring already and light out when I pick them up = easier to see him and not cold.  /random pointless rant

I haven't taken my seat out of the base in months, but I am also tiny 5'1" and he weighs 22 lbs so I just couldn't carry it any more. I use the ergo a lot.

My 4'10 self hauls that sucker in and out of daycare and the house morning and night.  Blech.  Plus, he tends to fall asleep about 20 minutes before I pick him up so he's in it, conked out when I get there and if he didn't have it I'd have to wake him to take him to the car.  I'll probably continue to struggle with it and hate every second of it for a few more months lol

I'm 4'11" so I hear ya on how hard it is to lug a baby around in the seat! We are in Pittsburgh and it's COLD so I just think it's easier to keep him in that and put blankets around him. I'm going to wait until spring for the convertible seat.

I'm just weak and couldn't lug mine up the stairs to get into our house. I switched I do worry she gets cold though from the in and out without a snowsuit

You are insane!! I switched to convertible at Christmas and stopped removing the bucket in like October!!
