I'm not talking about words like my favs "Fuck" and so on. I can't believe that there is a poster on here that would casually throw out the r word. Yes this warrants its own post. I don't want to see that crap on here. I'm not going to be nice if I see it. Be warned, you use language like that and you will be flamed.

To me, it is the most offensive word. I can't tell you how many times my students with autism have come to me crying because some idiot teenager called them that.

I remember learning that lesson in 4th grade. My best friend's little sister has Downs. I remember her getting so upset about people throwing around that word - and I remember being effing NINE and having the lightbulb turn on.
The fact that an adult has escaped that "ah ha" moment is pathetic.
