Got my bloodwork back from my first lab appt today. Follow up with dr. Isn't until next week.
39 no known fertility problems. Tubal ligation and gender selection needed for x-link defect.
AFC was 16
FSH 6.27
AMH 7.8
Thoughts?
Thanks!
I would definitely ask your doctor for his/her thoughts, as the ranges and norms can vary depending on the lab. I'll tell you what little I know, but you can Google all sorts of information on these.
For FSH, I think you're in the normal range. Your AMH seems pretty high to me, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Mine was six, which meant the doctor wanted to do further testing for PCOS. Those tests were negative, so it just means I have high ovarian reserve. You may be in the same situation. Do you have any other PCOS symptoms? AFC = antral follicle count, so that's how many resting follies you had on day three. This number doesn't seem to match your AMH to me, but I think normal is above 15 or so.
The good news is that you definitely seem to have good ovarian reserve!! Hope this helps some, as I'm no expert.
