I stole a birthday card a couple weeks ago. I didn't mean to. I looked through my bags and didn't see it, so the cashier told me to go grab another one. So I ended up with two.

Someone posted a comment on a pic of Alice this morning about her bangs. Now people are trying to pat me on the head and tell me its ok, they'll grow back. Um, thanks? Not helping.

Also, I am fixing to lose my shit if this kid doesn't quit freaking whining and go to sleep.

I did this exact thing with a small single serving container of chocolate milk that DS1 wanted a few weeks ago.

Here ya go ladies. A few weeks ago, I "spanked" Alice.

Ok, so it's not as dramatic as it sounds. We were at a christmas play and she kept biting me. When I sternly told her "No ma'am we do NOT bite!" 4 times, she thought it was a game. Redirection was not working either. So, I swatted her behind to get her attention. No actual pain was inflicted. It was an attention getter rather than punishment. FWIW, it did get her attention and she did stop biting me.

I don't see any issues with that, @CnAnA. Julie kept trying to pull off the safety cover on an electrical outlet. I sternly said no and redirected her 3 times, and she kept going for it. I finally swatted her bottom to get her attention, and it worked. She was upset, but I'm not messing around with them poking electrical outlets!

@CnAnA and @BabyCarryingVessel, I think you were both right

I ran the Combined Federal Campaign in my office this year and we missed our $11,000 goal by $750. Three people donated more than $1000, one of them over $2000! I donated $325. Lower than the average, but still something. Things are just tight this year. I feel pretty shitty about it.

I got home yesterday and I let Cecilia play independently and I played on my phone. Then I played with her, but I barely spoke to her while we played. I felt guilty, but I was so sick of talking.

Today I am still at work, messing around on the computer instead of going home because I need some down time. I feel like a horrible mother.

Hugs lady sorry youa feel likea a bad mom! Try and get that down time as much as you can it helps

My sister laid B down for a nap earlier but after 30 mins of her playing in her crib, I went and grabbed her. I realized right away why she didn't go to sleep, she had pooped, gross up the back poop. So we skipped nap.

And now it's bedtime and she's screaming in her crib. It kills me. I'm sending DH up and eating gelato right out of the container. There goes those 5lbs I wanted to lose.

I accidentally let Alexis have a tiny piece of gum. I was falling asleep so I decided to eat a blow pop. I was letting Alexis have an occasional lick and she bit off a piece of the gum. She wouldn't let me have it and then when I finally was able to get my hands in her mouth I couldn't find it, so I think she swallowed it.

I feel for you who have to deal with the 5 and 6 year olds. Dd had a friend over and I thought their must be something wrong with my dd the way she was complaining about everything this girl did. And they are supposed to be bffs. Hats off to you. One kg is enough.

my mom bought me a giant floppy stuffed elephant a few years ago and now B is obsessed with it. she insisted on sleeping with him tonight. so i let her. mehhh the thing is about the size of her!
