Anyone every have...

Hi...It's been nearly 2 yrs since I have been on the boards. I was very activity in 3T for a long time. You can read the details below. 

My question now is after 3 failed IUIs and 10 lost embryos, my wife's OBGYN found 2 polyps (one is half the length of her uterus). The RE never even talked to us about polyps as a possible problem. It's starting to sound like my wife might actually have a chance to pregnant this time around when we try for #2 starting in the summer. 

Have any of you had polyps removed and then gotten pregnant? Her OBGYN said that it they are a possible reason for the CPs we got. Apparently embryos try to attach to them,

I know the RE had her do several tests before the IVF and I'm nearly positive one was the saline sonogram, but no she did not have the hysteroscopy until last week with the OBGYN.

My RE had me do a saline sonogram before my first IUI due to the fact that he thought he saw a polyp and mentioned that the embryo can attach to that resulting in a miscarriage. It's interesting that your RE wasn't concerned about the polyps.

I don't think my RE even knew about them to be honest. The tech in our last sonogram said she thought she might have seen a shadow.

I've had polyps removed, but didn't immediately get pregnant. My RE is adamant about ensuring there are none before transfer, for the reasons you stated - they can interfere with implantation. I hope you get it worked out and I wish you lots of luck!
