I am 21 weeks. At my u/s this week we were told the baby has no amniotic fluid, will not develop his lungs, and most likely will not survive outside of the womb. I was told to drink 2 gallons of water a day and rest. I go back in 2 weeks to see if there is any improvement. He needs to get to an AFI of at least 3 to have a chance.
Has anyone had any experience with something similar? Any advice? I have read about taking Knox gelatin and Stevia to increase the amniotic fluid. My OB has not heard of it but said it can't hurt so I started both. Does anyone have any other suggestions for increasing amniotic fluid?
Thanks for the help.
