Ugh BMBs Vent

I must be a little crabby today, because I was reading a post on my BMB, which was whining about a DH not helping at night. I really wanted to post "well...since I'm a single Mom, I have no one to help, at any point, and I manage!" There was also a whole thread recently dedicated to pictures of LOs with SOs. lol!  You should have posted it.  People don't realize how much they have sometimes.  There were a lot of people in the 3rd tri and high risk boards bitching about having to take insulin for their gestational diabetes.  Well, boo hoo.  Think about us poor folk that have to take two different insulins every day FOREVER just to stay alive.

On my BMB there are a couple of threads about STDs and apparently everyone thinks they've never had one and if you have and didn't know it there's something wrong with you.

Doctors say that MOST people eventually get herpes and HPV, whether or not they ever have symptoms. I also know some people who had chlamydia and didnt know because they didnt have symptoms or insurance. Full STD panels are expensive.

I know pregnancy is a trying time, but I don't understand why women want to beat up on other women.

I stopped going to my BMB probably about 3 months before DD was born because those women were catty and spiteful.  I was taking an issue about BD's mom taking over the baby shower that she was SUPPOSED to plan with my dad and she completely cut him out.  And suddenly, all these bitches were like "YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY YOU'RE EVEN GETTING A SHOWER AT ALL!"  What the fuck was that for?  I should be grateful that BD's mom is a smothering attention whore perfectionist with bad taste? (seriously, the only good thing at the party was the cake that I brought, which I was going to take home but BD's mom decided to give to her friends...????)  And all they complained about was how their husbands weren't helping them...  and I don't remember exactly what I was venting about, but I did have a vent about how my dad didn't help me with one thing and how BD was off being a douchebag because he disappeared and suddenly "well, you did this to yourself.  You should've known to keep your legs closed" Bitch, please.  At least I know that DD is going to grow up to be a respectable success, which I can't imagine their children being given their mother's attitudes.

I doubt their trolling the single moms board. I tend to creep mine just because frankly i laugh at the drama. I wasnt well liked there because i made some bd comments that werent great so they think i am immature.

Meh, im 22 im still growing up. But i agree the bmb kinda shit on single moms because the other moms dont really understand what being a single mom means. But dirty lurking my bmb has made me extreley greatful for bf.

I got a notification a couple months ago that someone had posted on my BMB in a thread that I started (and it was some spam bot or something...) and that brought that thread up to the top of the board but some girl saw the post and decided to post on what a terrible name choice I made and how I was going to fuck up my child forever.  I was like "well, look at you starting drama on a thread from 4mo ago.  Hey, thanks for your opinion that I didn't ask for!"

I dont see why people care. Bentleys name gets a lot of hate. But my sister made an awesome point to my mom who hates his name. At least he isnt another aiden/caiden/hayden/jaden trend thats more popular then the surname trend.

Also i love harley. I totally picture this badass rockabilly woman when i hear her name.

Ive seen some aweful names on facebook. Normally they are normal names mispelled so that their child is a special snow flake. I really dont care what people name their kid as long as its spelled right.

My bmb last week had a bunch of aes who were mean girl charecters just stirring the pot.

Things have gotten to an epic level on my BMB board. They're attacking girls left and right and I'm usually unable to figure out why. Then apparently there are a lot of people like me there who still read it but don't post anymore (maybe to avoid being attacked?) and they seem to have an issue with that too.

It's weird because although the other TB boards may not be as active and may sometimes be a little spicy people are generally cool.

Thats unfortunate about the attacks on people. And unfortunatly really the only way to deal is leave the board since most of the women have been togethersince trying to get pregnant

Random bmb thought. On mine the big thing right now is solids. Everyone elses kids eat a tablespoon of solids and 24 ounces of formula a day.

And im just sitting here like. Thats cute. My son has three servings of fruit and 8 ounces for breakfast, then 8 ounces about 10 for a snack, then 12 ounces and 3 servings of veggies for lunch, then he has 8 ounces for a snack about four. Then for supper he has 16 ounces and 3 servings of fruit and 3 servings of veggies for supper. Plus my son wakes up once or twice a night for 8 ounces.

My son isnt constipated, and he isnt fat. Hes just related to his bio dad and iwho eat a lot and have high metabolism.

I was on TB before the BMBs were around, but when I was on 12-24 there was a huge blowup and a a ton of people got banned for life from TB...a bunch of ladies left and made their own board. It was definitely spicy! I do miss those ladies though....I had pretty much stopped posting by then and when I came back there was nobody I recognized anymore.

omg I get so irritated when I read posts about how "my kid won't sleep on MY schedule!  I'm very organized and need a schedule! He needs to sleep between the hours of 12-2!  What do I do?!?!?!"  Um, stop being a drill sergeant or your kid will hate you by the time he/she's two.  It's a baby for cryin' out loud!  I read one post where I lady was asking for recommendations for a diaper that would last at least 12 hours.  Are these people for real?

Who the fuck sleeps for twelve hours... thats half the friggin day?

Also my bmb board is obsessed with the merlin sleep suit. Its their answer to all things sleep recession. And im just over here like nope. Thats one more thing to transition him out of. Swaddling and the woombie was hard enough.

I'm not usually on boards this much so I guess it's still new for me. I have to lay down a lot now because of neurological disease complications so I'm on my phone, computer, and watching tv more than I ever have in my life.

Me too, except I think I got pretty active about a month before DD was born and then disappeared for the length of my maternity leave. *then* I returned.

This chick's kid apparently.  I wonder if she's giving the baby tylenol or something to make him sleep so much. 

DD was out of the swaddle by the time she was 3 months old.  It was just too damn hot and she was fine without it. But day care kept swaddling her even though I told them I didn't want her swaddled.  I finally just told them she'd started rolling and they stopped immediately.

I stopped the woombie and started the sleep sack at four months. Which honnestly is just to keep him warm.

I feel like it seems like bentley sleeps for twelve hours cause hes asleep between 7-8 and wakes up for morning snuggles between 7-8 but he also is up for an hour when he has his middle of the night bottle.

DD started to mostly sleep through the night this past week or so, she'll go down between 7 and 9 (depending on the day) and usually wakes up about 5:30/6.  Sometimes, I'll wake up to hear her kind of fussing about in her crib, so I creep up and put a paci in her mouth and she goes right back to sleep.  I stopped swaddling her about 2.5 mo old because she kept waking up wanting to stretch her arms out.
