So it seems that we're all travel junkies/want-to-be junkies so here's a GTKY.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Where is your favorite place in the US?
Where was your first trip out of the US/where do you most want to go out of the US?
How old were you when you got your first passport?
Where have you traveled to on your passport?
Does your LO have a passport?
Where is your dream vacation?
Re: Travel/Passports GTKY
No idea yet. Especially since the big appeal for me always is trying something new.
Ditto.
We took many road trips to (and just through) Canada when I was a kid. Family. (By through I mean there are parts of Alaska where the mountains require you to drive into Canada and back to get from A to B.)
20. I did the backpack through Europe thing with a friend one summer in college. Burned through a lot of my savings and ended up increasing my loans in the end, but I figured the odds are good I'd never get another opportunity to leave the country and then I'd always regret it. (The trip was her idea. She got $3,000 when her grandparents passed. That didn't actually go far.)
That trip was England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Denmark. I've been back to Ireland and to Italy (separate trips) and our honeymoon was in Spain. (We eloped so we could spend all the money on the trip instead.) Nothing besides Europe.
No. But he will eventually. It's tradition in DH's family for the grandparents to take each grandkid on an overseas trip when they're 12. DH's grandparents always did Europe, one grandkid at a time (he had a VERY different upbringing from me) but MIL will probably take LO to Australia instead.
The next place I want to visit is Prague and Budapest. We'd planned to do that with a tax refund when we thought TTC would take longer. I'm not a beach person at all. Or anything tropical/jungle. DH and I went to New York City in 2008 and there isn't really anywhere else in the U.S. that calls to me.
