1st Trimester

Bathroom question

So sorry if this is TMI... just wondering of anyone is having a similar experience. I am not a puker - never have been. I've had some queasiness, and a little food aversion, but no official morning sickness. However, what I do have is a desperate urgency to poop the minute I wake up each morning. My first hour or two awake is spent with multiple trips to the bathroom with loose poop. Yuck! Once I finally stabilize from that I generally spend the rest of the day feeling bloated and worried that this desperate urge might come back when I am not near a bathroom. Am I alone here or do any of you have more of a bathroom thing than a barfing thing?

Re: Bathroom question

  • Im generally in the same boat as you. No throwing up...but the other stuff, yeah. I wake up with a pretty painful tummy in the mornings until I go. I am assuming this maybe has something to do with my Crohns Disease though, not sure, and since it doesn't last all day (Only once or twice in the am) Im not worried about it

  • My last pregnancy I was a total puker. Puked any time of the day or night every day until I finally got put on meds.

This time around I'm experiencing the same as you. My stomach hurts and I'm in and out of the bathroom for a couple hours every morning. No fun. I hope it passes soon.
  • People talk about puking during your first trimester but I didn't know that constantly alternating cycles of constipation and diarrhea would be such an issue! I'm trying to drink more water and eat more fruit/veggies. I would rather be puking than having all of my issues out the other end!
  • I'm right there with you...I'm usually fine by midmorning but it's definitely not what I was expecting!
