TTC after 35

BW results & HSG Today

Well, bloodwork came back pretty good. Which is a relief! FSH: 5.9, TSH: 1.64, Estradiol: 23.2, Prolactin: 9.69. The only thing I though I might be concerned about is my Estrodial; seems kinda low? Any words of advice on what I should be asking my OB/GYN?

I have my HSG today. I'm leaving the office at 10am. I'm nervous! But taking advil before I head in there.

  • Not a clue as far as the bloodwork goes (well, the TSH looks good, I know that much).  Good luck witht the HSG. Mine wasn't too bad;it was mainly uncomfortable and felt a little weird, but in my case, didn't take long.

  • Good luck with your HSG.  I actually had that test done twice.  The first time I didn't listen and didn't take the pain meds prior.  I have to say it was pretty painful, but for only about 15 seconds.  I also had a spasm in one tube that made it bubble out.  That prolly caused the pain.  During my second one I felt absolutely nothing.  I took the Advil as instructed prior and fortunately the tube acted normally.  I will never again not take pain meds if instructed before any test.  The acutal test is done pretty quickly too.

Best of Luck for a non eventful HSG!

  • Well, I can't get the HSG test done today. I had some spotting still this morning and they said the cannot do it if I still have my period. So I'll go for the test early next week. From all of your PP, I'll make sure to take some pain meds beforehand!

    Thanks all!!

  • Make sure you bd a lot after the test. You should be Oing right after the test right. I used to work at a rad office and so many woman came back in after the test and said they got pregnant right after test was done. I think it has something to do with flushing the tubes out. Nice clear path for egg and sperm. Well good luck!!!!
