I'm an idiot...

I had an awesome day today, like so awesome I practically screamed "I HAD AN AMAZING DAY" at DH when I got home. Today was my first practice placement in my maternity rotation for my RN degree  

ANYWHO... so I go online to check that all our bill payments went through, and see that I put the hydro payment on the gas bill and vice versa. There is a HUGE difference between the two. First of all, I was pretty pumped that we were able to pay all of our bills, in full, a month after Christmas. Luckily the gas company is sending us a cheque in the amount of the giant credit on our account, so I can give that to the hydro company. Bad news is hydro were kind of dicks about the whole situation (we were a behind from last months bill, and the payment that was supposed to be made for it would have payed it in full) and now I have to repay them, which means I'll have to use my student loan money; not excited. Feel like such an idiot, and my good mood and day has kind of been shat on... boourns.

Winter months are hard! You will get all caught up soon. I am sorry you mixed up the payments though.

My mom sent a $2,000 dollar check to the wrong company once! She only owed $300 to. They were somehow able to cash it! When the company tried to keep the money and credit her account she lost it on the manager about how it isn't legal to cash a check not in your name and she wasn't having any of this. They refunded her the money within days after that.

I know in the big scheme of things it's really not a kick yourself sort of situation, but I'm hating myself hard for it... maybe it's just the added stress of school but I'm still highly annoyed >.<

Ahhh I have done that before. Except my gas company refused to give the extra back, they just put a credit on my account So I didn't have to pay gas bill for a few months but had to pay it back to hydro right away. Frustrating. Congrats on an awesome first day at placement! I am in the opposite boat there, tomorrow is my first day with a student working with me at work, I hope its awesome.

Ugh, that is a bummer!  Focus on the good part of the day instead.

Bummer. Maternity was my FAVORITE rotation is nursing school! I got to see the c-section of a 25 week preemie as well as a vaginal delivery...certainly things a woman who hasn't had children shouldn't see, but amazing at the same time!

@Wine&amp;Cupcakes I'm super super excited, I've always wanted to work in this area, and as an LPN it's not an area open to us, but it is as an RN! That sounds amazing that you witnessed that! I'm doing placements with the midwife clinics in my area, and I can definitely see why women are trending back towards midwifery! Some of those ladies are incredible.
