Enfamil AR

Anyone use for spit up issues? Thoughts?

Re: Enfamil AR

  • We came home from the hospital using Similac Advanced and then almost a wk old lo's started having choking issues on water from reflux and we were switched along with giving an rx of zantac. I think it got worst from there. He became congested, choked even more and then the vomiting began. Yesterday we went to WIC and the worker said to try Similac Sensitive for fussiness and gas. From yesterday afternoon to this evening I see a huge difference. He also isn't constipated. Last night he had a pretty hard stool followed by the grainy and then super watery stool. I was so happy. I also bf.  I am no way going back to that formula. I can't wait to tell his pedi the horror story.

  • Talk to your pedi about this. Spit up is just a normal part of being a baby. My little one spits up A LOT. He was put on Zantac because of pain after spitting up and while eating. But his pedi said they don't care about spit up unless its painful, LO isn't gaining weight or the spit up is projectile/has blood or greenish stuff in it. My LO will spit up seemingly half a bottle, but he's growing wonderfully. So I invested in a lot of bibs and cloth diapers (using them as burp cloths) and do laundry 3 times a week. He'll grow out of it in another few months when he's sitting up.
