Maryland Babies

Baltimore City OB/Hosptial

I have only been in the city a couple months and just learned I'm pregnant-I'm not quite 4 weeks.  I'm starting the OB/hospital research and wanted to get a few opinions and recommendations.  Here's the kicker:  I'm 35 with a history of stroke (cause unknown) and seizures.  I'm fairly certain that makes me high risk with a decent chance for a C-section (not thrilled about that).  It's all pretty overwhelming, any advise would be much appreciated.

  • I love Sinai, they have a really good Maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk) department. I've been going to them for a short while and I've been very satisfied with their services.
I'm a sinner saved by grace and a child of the Attitude Era (Oh you didn't know?!?)

  • I see Dr. Thomas Jones. He is off of Wilkens. I deliver at St. Agnes. I've had GD with both of my previous pregnancies and the maternal fetal medicine at St. Agnes is fantastic!

  • I'd look in to mercy or bay view, schedule tours to see if u like the staff, floors, rooms etc too. I think most do tours monthly...good lick
  • I went to Capital Womens Care in Towson, when I was living in the City. I delivered at St. Joes. I highly recommend the practice
  • After a very complicated pregnancy (2+ months bedrest, preterm labor, etc.), I highly recommend delivering at Mercy Medical Center downtown. My OB was Hoffman & Associates, but Mercy's high risk OBs were wonderful as well. Good luck!
  • I love Mercy. Was seen by their Gyn due to fibroids and had surgery there. Now that I'm pregnant I'm with Hoffman & Associates and being seen by the Center for Advanced Fetal Care (39 w/ history of fibroids). I'm excited about delivering at Mercy. The staff and facilities during my surgery were excellent. Very kind, courteous and helpful. I haven't had my tour yet but the virtual online tours makes me believe the birthing center will be just as spectacular.
  • I have a high risk pregnancy due to my age and a few other issues and I see the doctors at Hoffman & Associates and the Advanced Fetal Care Center at Mercy Hospital. I highly recommend this practice and this hospital. EVERYONE has been amazing!!
  • Hoffman & Associates delivered our first and will be delivering our second too. Cannot say enough great things about them and mercy hospital too!
