Wondfo vs FRER

Okay so I asked this I'm 2ww but now I'm thinking this might be thread worthy..

Some lucky lady got a BFP on 2 wondfos this morning, (yayyyy @imdonnel) there maybe something on her FRER too but my eyes aren't trained enough to be a pee stick analyzer yet.

So my questions is, are wondfos or frer more sensative?? I always assumed frer were more and that if you got a BFP on a wondfos then the frer would confirm it.

Opinions/experience/research???

Re: Wondfo vs FRER

  • Loading the player...
  • The one time I used both at the same time they both were very positive. The pregnancy before that I used the FRER 2 days after I was getting squinters on the wondfo and it was blazing positive.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I am so glad you posted this! It's part of why I'm hesitant. I honestly don't know the difference either and it makes me nervous.

My FRER was a tad darker than my Wondfo at 10 DPO, but I could definitely see a squinter on the Wondfo at 9 DPO (I didn't take a FRER on 9 DPO). It could be different with different batches though.

    I just took a line for a line...especially on an FRER. :)

ETA: those are definitely lines on her tests. They look like mine did at 10 DPO.

I think the quality control on Wondfos/ICs is sorely lacking. Sometimes they're sensitive, sometimes they're not. I would guess that FRER are consistently sensitive (to 10-15 beta hcg at least).

  • I have found that FRERs are more sensitive than wondfos (or at least the batch that I have).  I was getting stark white wondfos (maybe an evap outside the testing time frame), but getting clear but faint posititves on my FRER during my c/p.

In the past I remember lots of women on here commenting that Wondfos were just as sensitive as FRER, but maybe that has changed.
