Wednesday workout

So, I am hating the alarm clock on my new iPhone. I do not like a 10 minute snooze because I fall back into a deep sleep. And this morning when it went off all I did was touch the thing to pick it up, and apparently I turned it off instead of snoozing, so I was up 15 minutes late. Long story short, needed a quick workout. Enter Crazy 8's. I don't even have time to post now, but need the time to recover before I can even shower!

I used 2-12lb dumbbells.  You could also use a bar.   You do 6 sets of:
8 standing shoulder presses
8 bent over rows
8 alternating lunges with dumbells in rack position
8 burpees
8 squat and presses
Breaks are in increasing intervals, 15 seconds, 30, 45, 60, 75.
Warm up was a progression of all types of planks, cool down was a few plank/push-up moves.
Whole thing took 22 minutes.

  • I'm doing 20 min on the elliptical at lunch. Then we are doing Ripped in 30 tonight at home after work.

  • I'm down 2 pounds yay! Day 6 of 30ds tonight. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm exhausted today.

    E has been dropping her nap the past couple days. On the plus side she had 0 middle of the night wake ups that I'm sure was related to her not napping.

    K freaking woke up at 1 and played for 45 min while I slept next to her. Kids man.

  • I'm down 2 pounds yay! Day 6 of 30ds tonight. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm exhausted today. E has been dropping her nap the past couple days. On the plus side she had 0 middle of the night wake ups that I'm sure was related to her not napping. K freaking woke up at 1 and played for 45 min while I slept next to her. Kids man.
    That's awesome! I'm on the last day of level 1 (10th day) of 30ds, and have not seen any pounds come off :( And pants still fit the same, so I'm not too motivated to keep going, hopefully I'll start to see some changes once I move up to level 2. On the plus side, I can now make it through the whole thing without feeling like I'm going to die.

  • I've been working out pretty well. Downloaded the couch25K and finished week 2 day 2 today. Also will be going to kickboxing tonight. I was on a roll last week then got sick sunday night, so monday was spend all day sleeping. Yesterday I made myself go to yoga/pilates and it felt so good! Think my body needed a good stretch after all those body aches and sleeping. 
  • I screwed myself with my workout schedule. Morning workouts are ideal for me, but I overslept the Monday so I had to do an evening workout. So then yesterday, I woke up on time, but having just done 30DS less than 12 hours prior didn't want to do it again, so I just did some Zumba for cardio instead and did 30Ds again last night. I don't want to be stuck doing evening workouts, but I also just started so I don't want to skip a day either to get back on track. I guess I just have to suck it up for now.

  • Last night I was so tired, that I didn't even make it to the gym. I guess 5 days straight of 2-3 hours per night really took a toll on me. I crashed at 8pm. Tonight, I need to make up for it though. My plan for tonight is to run 4 miles, do a weight workout, and do day 9 of my 30 day ab challenge.

    I also brought a healthy, semi Paleo lunch which will help me stay on track today.

  • We have completed two days of T25 accompanied by the Super Shred diet. I am so sore. I'm not a morning person and we don't want to wake the kids, so we work out at night. I feel like my evenings are such a blur between eating on a schedule, cleaning the kitchen, cooking supper, working out and getting the kids bathed and in bed. I'm hating life right now, but need to lose some weight.
  • I've been working out 4 days a week since the 1st of the year and am doing WW. Yesterday I walked 30 minutes and biked 30 minutes. Today, 50 minutes of walking. Hope the scale is in my favor tomorrow morning ..

    Even though I'm on day 6 it's been two weeks. I have to usually do 1-2 days and then one off day. I ended up having a three day break because I relapse with my chronic health condition whenever I work.

  • Today was my 3rd day in a row working out. I did arms but my whole body hurts from my PT session yesterday. I'm proud of my work outs but really need to buckle down on the eating.
