Hi ladies, just wanted to update you all. I was admitted to hospital on Friday because they weren't able to see my cervix on my ultrasound, and when the doctor did an internal exam he found that my pessary was migrating through my cervix.
So I went to L&D and they removed the pessary, and I was 2cm dilated. They admitted me for bedrest.
Sunday morning I started having some mild contractions, and by the evening they were getting uncomfortable and showing up on NST every 8 minutes. I was checked again, and was 4 cm so went back up to L&D where they started magnesium sulfate for the babies neuro protection.
The contractions kept up through the night, but started to slow down early yesterday morning. Since then they've been pretty irregular (like one/hour). The mag sulf was stopped last night and at my last check I was 5-6 cm, very thin and with bulging membranes. No one is quite sure what to do with me since things could change very quickly so I'm just hanging out in a labour bed until they decide what the plan should be. The only thing for certain is that I won't be going home before these twins are born! Today is 31 weeks…
