Just curious about others pumping. I EBF at home and pump while at work. I am only producing about 10 ounces while at work which seems to get him through the day. Just wondering how much your LO eats and how much you can pump....
Only? How long are you at work? Breastfed babies need approximately 25 ounces a day. The guideline for pumped milk is that you should leave an ounce for each hour you are separated from your child. So if you are working an 8 hour day you are fine unless you have a really crazy commute.

i only work 3 or 4 days a week and my schedule varies quite a bit. But most days i only work about 5 or 6 hours at a time. i feed LO right before taking him to my MIL's. I take 15 minutes to pump in the car before i go in so i start my shift on "empty". 3 hours later i pump again for 15 minutes. These pumping sessions combined get me 5-8 oz.
He's not really on any sort of schedule. we BF on demand most of the the time. so i can't always pump at the same time he is eating. I just always make sure i pump at least as many ounces as he eats while i am gone. sometimes this means i have to pump a little extra after he goes to bed at night.
Alexis is 4.5 months old, she eats 16 oz with grandma (it would be 12, but she gives her a bottle right before I get there so she doesn't scream during the 20 minute commute). I make 23-25 oz at work.
If your baby goes above the "recommend" amount of food that's okay. Your baby is NOT a book example or statistic.
I am pumping between 12 and 13 oz while at work. I feed LO right before I run for the train in the morning and she sleeps until H takes her to daycare. She gets 3 bottles of at least 4 oz while I am at work and I feed her right when I get home from picking her up. I am away from her for 10 hours total so right now we are in a sweet spot. I will be pumping on my days off to try and bank a couple extra ounces a week.
I have been getting about 11-13 oz. It takes me 20-25 minutes per pump session though which is difficult to take such a long break, plus set up and clean up. I've been adding in a very quick 5min pump at shorter intervals hoping that can boost supply or make pumping faster and it has seemed to help. I can usually get an extra oz per 5mins between both boobs.
Wow, I am impressed. During my work day I can only pump about 8 ounces.

I'm away from LO from 8:30 - 5:00. I pump 3 times while at work for 15 min and I get around 9-10oz. She is eating three 4oz bottles while away so I also pump after her MOTN feedings to make up the rest. Wish I could produce more!
I EP so I pump every 4 hrs during the day and 8 at night. I get roughly 1.75 oz per hour between pumps.. So close to 40-42 oz a day.. I just set up a couple bottles before I leave and about every other day I'll put about 20 oz in the freezer.. Give or take but its usually around this
When I am at work I pump three times during the day and get about 9-10 oz. my DD eat 12 oz during that time.

I pump 3 times while at work and typically get about 14 oz. I always turn the pump off after 20 min. even if a little milk is still coming out because I read on the Kellymom website that 20 min. should be the limit.
I pump 3 times at work and usually get 4-6 ounces each time for a total of 12-18 ounces (usually around 15). I work 7:30-5:30. DS eats 3 5oz bottles and sometimes an extra 3 ounce bottle while I am gone so I give day care 18 oz each day. I usually end up pumping right before I leave for work, and before bed to make up for anything and put a little in the freezer.
DS sttn though and so has to get all of his ounces during the day so he eats quite a bit more than the 1 oz per hour rule to make up for sleep time.
I'm glad to see that I'm not alone with pumping less at work in 3 sessions than my daughter needs at daycare. I usually get about 12 if I'm lucky and she now takes 14 at daycare and it's really stressing me out since I've been trying to EBF and have since we stopped supplementing at 1 month (she's 5.5 mos now). For those that pump a few ounces less than your baby needs, what are you doing to make up the difference? My goal is to make it to 6 mos without supplementing. I've added a pumping session right before bed lately which usually gets me an extra ounce but it sucks to have to pump even more.
I pump 3 x at work and end up with around 18 oz. I wake up engorged so I pump after LO eats first thing in the morning and get 7-8 oz. LO takes 3- 5 oz bottles while I'm at work, so I'm pumping more then I need right now. If you can see my siggy, my LO is a big guy and I think his healthy appetite helped boost my supply. I struggled with my supply the whole time with my older DD though and had to supplement.
I feed DD around 6/7am and then pump right before we leave home at 8am and get 3-4oz for her first bottle of the day. At work I pump twice and get 4-6oz each session. So for the 9hrs we are separated I get anywhere from 11 to 16oz. I don't start timing my pump session until I've let down, and then I go for 10 min. She takes 3 3-4oz bottles at daycare, so I usually pump enough each day.
Pump 2x and get 20 ounces. LO only takes 2-6 ounces by bottle the whole day. So I'm freezing a lot of milk. Oversupply problem in the beginning and tandem nursing which is probably why it is a lot. With my son, I typically pumped 16 ounces over 3 pumping sessions.
Forgot to say 10 ounces is perfect. EBF babies only need an ounce per hour away from mom so most of the time they are overfed at daycare.
Our first was always offered 4oz and never did more than 2oz. Was just doing what other parents were sending but lucky our LO self regulated and only ate to hunger.

I have twins. Each of them gets 3 4oz bottles while I'm gone. So that's 24oz.
I pump 3x a day at work and get anywhere from 18-21oz. I pump once either early am or late PM to bridge the gap. Or I dip into my freezer stash.
I always have enough when I bf them on the weekends.
