What is your lo's current obsession? DD is currently obsessed with my makeup. Every evening when we get home she goes straight to where ever the makeup bag is. She knows what it looks like and will search for it. If she can't find it she grabs my hand and constantly says "pweeaase make make pweeeeaase". I have some brushes that I thought would appease her but no, she needs them to be in my bag. We pretend and she puts it on me and I on her and just last night she decided her puppy needed make up as well.
Re: LO's current obsessions
Giving treats to our two dogs. She's constantly asking for a dog treat so that she can give them one. I usually give them each a treat first, so that way neither of them is completely left out, since she doesn't understand giving one to each of them. I was impressed this morning though that she hid one of the treats in one of their hollowed out bones, though.
Also, the Duplo set that she received for Christmas. The most fun part is dumping the full box on the floor.
And lastly, her Babar board book. I read it four times yesterday.
She just likes to be a little mommy. If she's eating in her high chair and she can see one of her stuffed animals, she will motion for me to give her the animal so she can "share" her food. It's adorable.
Yeah, pretty much everything he's not allowed to have.
Also, the little mustard bottle that she got in a play food set. She acts like she's pouring it in a pot or cup and then "eats"it with a spoon or pretends it's lotion.
the broom: he grabs it and says "sweep sweep."
balls: he has a mini basketball, soccer ball and football, and he just likes carrying them around, mostly.
cars: he points out every car he sees and says "car! vroom vroom"
shoes: he likes to put on our shoes and try to walk around with them.
and omg, PHONES: real phones for button mashing, but he also pretends every rectangular object is a phone, and he holds whatever it is to his hear and says "hi daddy!"
The remote control. We have a ridiculous amount of remotes that we try to hide and she giggles maniacally when she gets one. We took the batteries out of an old one that is now hers. She doesn't watch much tv but when she does she sits with the remote pointed at the screen.
Just now she is super obsessed with Spot books, too. I just ordered three new ones from Better World Books.
Books and music- her xylophone has been with her for a week straight. She drags it around and plays it all day. I think it is from starting music class last week- it sparked her musical creativeness.
Also helping- which is funny because it ends up being more work but it's cute to watch her and let her think she is helping. She wants to help stir and cook and clean up and do laundry and unload dishes. She's so cute. She's been a great helper lately
Also, another vote for vacuums. He threw a temper tantrum because we were trying to leave (of course) and he wanted to vacuum.
