I requested the actual embryology report so I could see the actual grading. We had crap on day 3 so why was I told it was sperm? My donor had 44 eggs! Isn't that indicative of PCOS? I wrote a blog post with the specifics for each embryo if anyone wants to see it. But I'm really pissed that the RE told me at ET that my embryo was a 4BB on Gardner yet the report says it is an Early Blast BB. They also froze a day 6 early blast with no grading of the ICM and TE because it wasn't developed enough. Why the heck would they freeze that?? I'm so angry I could spit fire. I feel like I can't trust anyone anymore.

I am truly hoping that you will all roll your eyes at me next week if I end up pregnant since I have done that to those who complain too much yet always end up KU'd. But I am livid about all the lies time and time again.

I’d be pissed too!  I am not sure how your guarantee program works but the one I am considering (and I think most) are with the condition of transferring all embryos within a certain time limit and if drop you out at any time before the terms are complete you don’t get your money back.  Is it possible they are trying to tip the scales in there favor??? I know it sounds crazy but after everything I’ve seen nothing would surprise me.

This guarantee program works differently. I can quit at any time if not pregnant but if I quit after this cycle, I'd get surcharged the price of a single cycle. No thanks. So I have to transfer the frosties first. Then pick a new domor. If no pregnancy after the second ti e at the bank, all I'd pay is a $3K admin charge for each cycle. So I'd get back $22K. I have zero intention of going back to the bank more than twice and I'm only going to the bank the second time to avoid the $16K surcharge! They can also kick me out at any time and if they do, I only get charged the $3K admin charge for each cycle completed. I asked if we'd be kicked out of we refused to use donor sperm and he said not yet since we did get one day 5 blast.

Hey McIrish, I'm just getting caught up. Congrats on your PUPO! Hopefully you won't have to deal with any of that because this one will stick! Still, I totally understand readying Plans B, C, D, etc.. I'm truly hoping this is the one for you.

Sorry you are feeling upset and deceived. I do not blame you. These are all good questions to ask the RE, although I am still optimistic that your (early) blast is going to be a rock star. One of my girls is the result of an early blast. Having been through several transfers I know that sometimes the report is done before you arrive for transfer and that the embryo may actually change in that short period of time. Either way, I'm focusing on your transferred embryo and wishing all the best success!

This was my thought also -- that maybe it had changed grade by the time they transferred it.

Regardless I think you'd be in your rights to ask for a conversation with your RE or the embryologist asking why they froze the ones they did.

You might want to also post on the other boards I mentioned to you a while back to see if anyone else has experience with RBA's usual freezing standards in donor cycles. There are a few RBA donor egg ladies there.

You have been to hell and back during your journey to get your baby. Complain/vent away girl! I totally hear you when you say that you feel you cannoy trust anyone. I have been told some half-truths and "fluff" myself. It made me sick to my stomach to learn I was mislead. I hope in the long run that this post won't even matter because you will be staring at 2 lines next week! Hang in there and you will be in my prayers.
