Post partum bleeding?

My girls will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I'm still bleeding bright red. Is this normal with twins? I had a c-section. With DD1 I had a c-section and remember only bleeding for 2 weeks or so. I have my 6 week pp appointment on Thursday.

It was according to my OB, though it is worth bringing up especially if it isn't lessening. I ended up having one last big clot which (tmi) I finally passed at 8 weeks and thankfully thankfully finally stopped pp bleeding. Less thankfully got my first af 9 weeks later but whatevs.

Ugh! With my 1st, normal delivery, bled for 6w. With twins/csec bled for ELEVEN weeks. It sucked and it was so heavy

I bled until I think 10-11 weeks.  It was a giant pain but it eventually went away.  I don't know if you are breastfeeding or not but my OB said your period could come while you are still bleeding (if that makes sense) so it would basically blend together.  

I didn't end up getting my 1st post partum period until the girls were 4.5 months (not breastfeeding)

I am pumping right now. With DD I didn't get my first pp period until I stopped nursing at 7 months. I did start some exercises yesterday (mostly ones for diastasis recti.) Maybe that started the heavy bleeding again.

That absolutely could have done it. I bled off and on for like 3 months, and got a few huge gushes either when nursing or pumping. OB said it was all normal. No fun, but normal. I got my first pp period around 7 months....exactly one month after I stopped pumping.
