Hi everyone, I posted on the PAIF board but wanted to say Hi over here too.  I'll be a FTM at 40.  See my siggy for details, but basically we've been trying on & off for 8 years and only sought help relatively recently. I'm a little over 7 weeks and EDD is August 28 for 1 little bean!  We heard the heartbeat this past week so we've just started telling immediate family(they knew we were doing IVF) but we're holding off for a bit on telling others. There's a handful of close friends who knew the timing we were going through so they're asking for an update since they know we should know by now. (DH's doing since he blabbed exact ER & ET & 1st Beta dates to them!) I know we can't hold them off much longer but I have concerns about their ability to keep it quiet. I'm hoping I can chime in with support, as others have done for me. So far it still doesn't seem real but I'm excited for this crazy ride!

Congratulations! I'm new 2 this board also. I'm 39 and have my tubes tied and am hoping in vitro may be an option for me! I don't know a whole lot about it though, and any info u may want 2 share would be awesome!

@AngieDB3, if you haven't already, you might want to check out the Infertility board. Lots of women on there going through IUI or IVF. In general I'd stay positive and write down your questions, it's easy to forget them because there is so much info to take in.
