Double Strollers

When baby comes I will have a newborn and 14 month old, any suggestions on smooth going double strollers? I prefer a jogger but not sure I want to spend the money since I have a nice treadmill. Are side by side or the one in front of other better? Thanks for the input ladies!

Re: Double Strollers

  • Generally speaking, side by sides are easier to push that the tandem strollers.  I have a BOB double and love it for exercise.  It's honestly such piece of mind to load the kids up and go for a walk where they will just chill and be quiet.  I can't imagine you'll get a ton of use out of a treadmill unless you have a babysitter.  I have a different stroller (single with a jump seat) in my car though because double joggers are so big that I couldn't do that in and out all the time.  I have just those 2 strollers and it works perfectly for me.

  • I bought the City Mini double GT for Christmas and love it. It is side by side but fits through normal sized door openings. It pushes really smoothly and folds easily. I tried out the citi select which I thought I would love but found too difficult to push. It is just too long and the weight feels much greater that with the GT. I currently use the stroller with my 14 month old and three year old when necessary but will use it for my newborn and 19 month old once the new baby arrives. It has been helpful to see what it will feel like to push two heavier children around so I know the stroller will meet our needs for years to come.

  • I have the Britax B-Agile double stroller and I love it. It isn't too big and it is easy to fold and unfold. Definitely worth the money.

I have the Valco Snap Dual & love it. It's side by side but only 3 inches wider than the City Select so it fits through standard doors without an issue. It's lighter than the Maclaren & it's newborn rated, so it was perfect to use with a small baby early on.  It pushes like a dream (over most terrain) and is easier to use than my single. Check out You Tube.

Have you looked at their Zee? You can get a Joey seat for #3.

Yea, I'm getting an ABC Adventure Buggy so I don't need a triple.  I just like the Snap for travel.
