He's walking EVERYWHERE. He can turn, stop to stand, get down to his butt, and he started climbing the stairs. He started walking right around Xmas, then figured out crawling afterwards.
If DS had a choice, he'd cruise everywhere. In fact, he'll pull himself to standing to cruise along the wall. We've coaxed a few steps out of him, but he's pretty content cruising/crawling and doesn't quite have the confidence or desire to walk on his own yet. He thinks it over sometimes, but usually decides to drop down and crawl instead of take a few steps.
He's reminding me of my middle child who took her first steps around 9 months, then refused to even try again until she was 11 months old. At which point, she picked herself up and was walking across the room by the end of the day without any issues.
DD crawls like crazy, and cruises a ton. She's always moving, whether it be crawling or standing or cruising, but no steps just yet. I think I'm ok with that.
