too much?

We're not TTC quite yet, but I love thinking of possible names. Thoughts on Magnolia? Middle name would be Jean- the middle name of both DHs and my mom. I love the name, but not sure how I feel about actually using it. The other names I've found myself liking are a bit more traditional. I just worry that its maybe a little "too much" somehow and about how it would age.  Thoughts?

I'm feeling kind of organic about NNs- if they happen they happen, but I do really like Maggie as a NN.

Love love love it. Magnolia is awesome, and has plenty of options for nicknames. It doesn't feel traditional in the way that Elizabeth, Margaret, Katherine, etc. do, but it also doesn't feel new or trendy, if that makes sense. Please use it

I would not use it, because I tend to be pretty conservative about names like that.  BUT...that being said, I would admire someone else who did use it.  I think it's cute.

Not a fan. I generally don't like flower names, so I'm biased against it. While I'm meh on flower names like Lily and Daisy, when it comes to Magnolia, I would say it was "too much."

I wasn't sure if I liked it at first but I love it with Jean. I think it sounds great together. I'm not a fan of the nn Maggie but I know of a few not so nice Maggie's so I'm biased
