DS was EBF until 8 months when I had to start supplementing with formula due to a supply dip. I still pump 3-4 times day and nurse whenever we are together. He gets bottles of 3 oz of BM and 2 oz of formula every day at daycare (3 a day), and nurses 1-2x before daycare and 1-2x after daycare as well. He is still waking up at night to eat, last night it was 3 times (he got no formula during the day, just nursed). While I don't mind night feedings (limiting it to 1 would be ideal), I feel like at this age, he shouldn't need 3 full sessions at night. He will be wide awake unless he nurses long enough, and he is not just comfort nursing.
Do you think it's possible I need to up the formula I am supplementing him with? Maybe he isn't getting enough to drink with just BM during the day on the weekends or needs a little extra formula added to his bottle during the week?
I just have no idea how to figure out how much formula to give on top of nursing.
