Yeah, finding out the sex is just an added bonus.  They'll check out the growth of the baby, make sure everything is on track, and look for any possible issues or concerns.

I had a 17 week appointment today and got to hear baby's heartbeat. My A/S was scheduled for February 10th.

Good Luck ladies, hope all went well. I have my A/S at 6:45 pm EST. I am so excited / nervous (always nervous before an appointment for whatever reason) just hoping baby is happy and healthy. Happy thoughts for all those scanning today!

Loving all the updates! I had my AS today. Measuring at 20w2d so almost dead on. Baby weighs 13ish ounces. I can't wait to start feeling baby girl move!

My a/s went wonderfully! Baby is measuring right on track and everything looks great! The tech did mention how big the feet are, which isn't a surprise since my husband and I have huge feet. We found out we are having a beautiful, friendly, rolling, baby girl!

Lol. My oldest had, and still has, giant feet. Her footprints wouldn't fit on the card at the hospital so they gave them to me on a separate sheet of paper (which I proceeded to leave in my room at the hospital).

Well...there's still a heartbeat in there. She wants me back for a "regular" check up in two weeks. My bleeding has slowed slightly since Saturday, and has stopped at times. She wants me back tomorrow if I'm bleeding. I've lost 6.5 pounds in the past three weeks, which she is not concerned about with everything else going on. I'm reassured by the heartbeat, but not reassured that it will keep beating. She's stupid low in my belly which I know (it's painful) and it took a second to find her.

Met my midwife today and really liked it.  So much better than the OBGYN practice.  Was there for almost an hour and that was time with the midwife..not in the waiting room.  She said everything looks good. She checked like everything and of course that heartbeat makes me happy..134!  Tomorrow is my a/s and I can't wait to see how everything is growing!

Appt went well. We have two 11oz girls in there! They're growing on track and pretty active, no red flags or anything while checking their hearts etc. Next appt will be in Feb and include my glucose test, blah. They also said they'd let me know my c section date which makes me nervous...I'm still hoping I might get to try vaginal.

Did your doctor say anything about her being so low? Does that have anything to do with the bleeding?

@Read247 I had asked if that could have anything to do with it when I saw her after my elective scan (where I first found out she was so low) and she said no. I'm not so convinced, but today she was lower than she's been at any other appointments. My doctor didn't say WHY she wants me back tomorrow and I was too scared to ask, but I'm hoping that does have something to do with it and maybe she'll do an ultrasound.

@SNLT1012 - but she only wants you back tomorrow if you're bleeding, right? Are you still bleeding or is it stop and go? otherwise you go back in 2 weeks?

It was stop and go, it's been constant today though. If I'm not bleeding tomorrow she wants me to call on Wednesday and be back in 2 weeks.

She actually told me to come in every day to listen to the heartbeat, lol.

Ok. Well sounds like it was a pretty good appointment! I'm sorry you don't have answers yet but I'm glad she's keeping an eye on you. I hope she does give you an ultrasound. Even if it doesn't give you answers it might help reassure you to see your baby moving around and hear that little heartbeat. Sending positive thoughts. Keep us updated!

@SNLT1012 So glad for the pretty good appointment.  Hopefully the bleeding will stop and you won't have to go back tomorrow.  But if you, maybe you can push for an u/s and get more answers.  Sending all sorts of good vibes!!

Had a Level 2 ultrasound this morning. I was on meds for my Lyme Disease for the first three weeks of my pregnancy before I got my BFP and continue to take Amoxicillin twice a day. My Lyme dr and OB both said I would have miscarried if the meds would have affected anything in the beginning. However, this appointment was scheduled back in October, so it's been three months of stress and worrying. Thanking God that everything looked perfect and that we're having a healthy baby girl! 

However, after logging in tonight I'm finding it hard to be ecstatic when two of our members are going through such terrible losses. Lots of thoughts and prayers to chance_encounters and saltypearl.

Just got back from mine. Everything is looking great and she is measuring right on track. It was so amazing to see all the details of her hands, feet and face... we even saw her yawn!

Will be 20 weeks this Wednesday. Half way - yipeee!!

We had our 17wk apt this morning!
The heart rate was 127. We get to find out the sex on the 30th! I think it's a boy - does the heart rate usually mean something?

Had mine today! Baby is looking healthy and measuring a little ahead. We are so excited we are having a little girl!!

I had my A/S this morning. I was so nervous. Doc said everything looks normal. The tech had quite a challenge as L/O was moving around so much. Flipping and wiggling. Saw her wave her fingers. Now it feels so real!

Hey girls. I had my A/S yesterday and everything was perfect. We are definitely having a BOY! He is nice and healthy and we even have a picture showing him smiling. We are beyond thrilled and so happy to have 2 beautiful healthy children!
