AF 2 mos post IVF

Hi Ladies!

I am 2 months post failed IVF (November). First month I started AF exactly when I expected (Dec 4). Now here I am on CD 41 and still no sign. Has this happened to anyone else? I took an afternoon pg test two days ago (BFN). I highly doubt I'm pg but wondering if I should call my doctor or wait it out. I really want to get going on our next IVF cycle!

I'm sorry about your first IVF. Prior to any IVF cycles, I was very regular with 28-30 day cycles. After my first IVF, which was long lupron protocol, my next cycle was 40 days. My second IVF ended in August and here I am at day CD33 waiting to start IVF 3. All but one cycle was irregularly long for me since. I would wait until CD60. Good luck! I hope it comes soon!!

After being on lupron for a fet (which you may not have done lupron by did take another drug similar to it for suppression) it took me 8 weeks to get a period. Sometimes it just takes our bodies longer to jump start than other people.....it sucks though. I used that time drink lots of coffee and wine
I hope it comes soon. Have you asked about provera to bring in a period?

I'm in the exact same boat! I have NEVER been late but AF is so messed up. I had a period in September then was supressed for so long on Lupron (didn't work at first) and ER was in December with no period in between. Was given provera after our cycle was cancelled and got AF shortly after. Now here I am waiting for AF again as she is 5 days late...no surprise BFP for me either so I have no clue what the heck is going on! I actually am going to get a second opinion today so I guess I'll ask then.

Hi lady- after my cancelled cycle in November (so it may be a little different), I got AF in exactly 28 days, which was shocking because it's never on time.  I'd talk to your RE, they might want to put you on provera to help reset you and make sure your lining isn't getting too thick.  Good luck!

My first AF after IVF was exactly 14 days after ER. My 2nd AF came on CD 36, which has happened to me before on months I ovulate later. All those hormones can get us out of whack!

My second cycle after was the worst. I had to eventually be given progesterone to get it going. I was 2 or 3 weeks late and there was no sign of starting on my own anytime soon! I think it is more common than we realize. Our bodies are taken over by meds and forget how to function on their own. Another way IF kicks us when we're down! If it goes too much longer and you just want it to start, call you RE to see if they can get you on something to get things going.

When I didn't get my period for months, I went in for blood work and ultra sound. When I'm in an anovulatory stage, I always test CD 3. It might be worth a call to go in; perhaps you can  start.
