Honoring Family Members

We don't know if we are having a boy or a girl, but we'd like to name our baby in honor of 2 family members: Carol and/or Charles.  I don't really want either for a first name, although we can use them as middle names, of course.  Any suggestions for variations of these names?  Thanks!

Carl? For a boy, I would probably just use Charles as the mn.

  • For a girl I would use Carol, Caroline or Carolyn for Carol or Charlotte for Charles ... Charlotte is the feminine French diminutive of Charles.

For a boy I'd use Charles.

Or you could use one of their last names.
  • Those are my parents names! Both are actually coming back. I know a lot of little Caroline's and Charlie is an adorable nickname. There's always Charlotte, Charmaine, Charlemagne, Carolyn, Cara, Clara, Claire...
