Heading back to RE/ What to expect?/Into

Hi Ladies,
I apologize if this isn't the right board, I haven't been on the bump in some time. However, this has always been such a great place to learn, and share experiences, I figured it was worth a shot.
My IF history should appear in my siggy. DH and I are heading back to RE next friday for a consult and to resume treatment. We have only been TTC since October when I stopped taking BC. However, since I have had endo in the past that was removed due to a laparascopy, I didn't want to wait too long before heading back to the RE, in hopes to avoid another surgery if possible.
Have any of you gone back to your RE for treatments? Do they typically start from square one with bloodwork, and what else? It's been a few years, so I can't even remember all I went through with our first. Was just looking for any outlook as to what to expect when heading back to our RE.

Thank you for the reply! I am so excited to head back, but with it comes all the fears and doubts. All I can think about is my first appointment back. I'm glad I moved up my appointment a week to start taking care of tests.

And thank goodness if I have to get tests done, DH has to cough up a sample..it's only fair

I don't see any info in your siggy, but I'm assuming this is TTC#2 for you?  And your last LO was a few years ago?  If its been a few years, I'm sure your RE will want to do BW, and HSG, an ultrasound etc.  Basically everything he or she did last time.  If it were me, I would want them to, at least.  I wouldn't want to take any meds until I had a full work up to know exactly where everything was at (and a good RE should feel the same).

I was logged in on my knot name, my history should be under this post though.
This will actually be #3. #1 was in 2011, #2 was while I was coming off of nursing, I somehow ovulated and got pregnant. I actually had an appointment to go back to our RE for #2, but was blessed with our second. I was naive to think I was "fixed" and thought #3 would be easy, unfortunately it hasn't been.
I don't mind doing any of the testing, I think it is important to do it, since our bodies change so much after pregnancies. I wouldn't mind not having to do another LAP, though.

@morgs8384 Gotcha- I really hope you won't have to go through another lap either.  GL next Friday and keep us updated!

You probably have to redo the initial testing but can start with whatever treatments worked for you last time. I got pregnant with DS after our second IVF cycle. When we went back we started with a FET. If we didn't have any frozen embryos we would have gone to another IVF cycle. Good luck!!!
