Re: Introduction *child mentioned*

  • Welcome to the board.
So very sorry for your losses. I have the same view about testing early so That is why I don't. I both don't like seeing negatives and wouldn't want to see an early positive only to get period on time with a CP. So I don't test until AF is late.

Do not feel guilty about wanting a child with your husband. You can be grateful for your son and still want another. I have two children 8 years apart and am very lucky to have them but I still want one more. Nothing wrong with that.

Glad to hear you have an apt with a RE. That will give you your best odds of conceiving. After testing they will know what approach to take. This board if full of women going through every option if conceiving so which ever route you go you will have support here.

We are a very welcoming bunch of ladies so jump right in and join our sometimes crazy discussions. Sometimes they are ttc related and sometimes not.

Hi and welcome. I love how you and YH found each other again but I am very sorry for your losses.

You will find this board very helpful. Great group of ladies :) Good luck at your RE appointment and let us know how it goes :)

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

  • What a great story about you and your husband! So sorry for the losses, hope the RE can make your dream come true. I am 35 and my husband is 43, I really want to give him a little one while he's still young enough to keep up with it!
  • Welcome, and best of luck! I agree with pps--no reason to feel selfish. I feel a little guilty for TTC #2 as well (for different reasons), but we shouldn't. Hope the RE consult is helpful!

We're the same age and I can totally relate to your feelings of thinking you're too late in the game. Let those thoughts just wash away and fill your mind only with positive thoughts. Lurking on the PG after 35 is a great board full of successful women and even quite a few in their forties. It's a great pick me up. Best of luck to you on your continued journey!
