Multiples

Pregnancy after multiplea question

I know a lot of people say that you show sooner with a second pregnancy.

Well, I was starting to show pretty early with my twins (my first pregnancy). I am 5 weeks right now and even my husband has noticed that I seem to be looking pregnant. I'm not skinny either.

Did you show even earlier after twins? Did you carry similar?

Re: Pregnancy after multiplea question

  • I showed earlier compared to my previous singletons, but it was more overall "bloat", as well.
I had a tough time finding maternity jeans this go around since the ones I used with the twins were all too big too soon. I did start measuring a week ahead around week 27, but just a week, not 3-4+ weeks ahead like I did with the twins...
    Congrats, Again!!!

Another good perk about multiples first, is that if you BF'ed or pumped, you tend to have a killer milk supply the next go around!  haha  The lactation nurses are trying to tell me not to pump so much, like I'm doing it on purpose, but it comes out like my body still thinks there's two to feed. Makes for a great freezer stash :)

This is super encouraging, as I really want to EBF future babies....and for longer than I did w/ the twins.

@LucyRicardo3, how is your little guy doing?

Thanks for the update; you guys have been in my thoughts. It sounds like a rough journey....esp. w/ other kids at home...I just can't imagine. But it also amazes me how moms always manage to rise to the challenge. I'm sorry to hear about the struggles, and I hope you get to the bottom of his tummy troubles soon! (I also love that you call him "little Ricky" :)) Hugs!
