Name for baby girl with brother Anthony

Hi everyone

We are having a baby girl in April and have really been stuck on names. My name is Toni-Marie and my husband is Jason. We have an 8 month old son named Anthony. I really love the name Ava, but really would like to avoid the top names. What are your thoughts on Alana. Does it match our names. We were thinking Alana Marie. Our last name starts with A too.

I appreciate your opinions.

That would be to many A names and uses of the A sound for me.

It's a lot of As, but I don't think it's too much. The alliteration would bother me, but that's just me.

It's funny. I had the same concern. I said to my husband I wanted to stay away from too many A's but for some reason the name stuck out to me. I like it for now but definitely not willing to settle on it yet but it is the best we have right now. We are open to suggestions too!

You could do Avamarie. One of our top names is Avamae.

Alana is nice, I'd try to avoid another A name myself.

Gabriella was the first name that came to mind.

I don't like Alana as a name because of all the A sounds within it. Add a last name that starts with A and a brother who starts with A, and yea, that's way too much IMO

Well, Anthony is an extremely popular name so I think if you like Ava you should just go for it!

My little brothers name is Anthony. My brothers and sister and I have really common names though for our generation so I don't know if you'd be interested lol my sister and I are Nicole and Katie

I like Ava because it is simple and goes well with Anthony.
