anti kell

Hi there, I am looking for anyone who is going or who went through this: Any advice and stories are welcome, whether happy or sad.

I am 11 weeks pregnant with my second child and my blood work came back with the anti kell antibody. The doctor told me that the only way to get this is through a blood transfusion (never had one) or from my husband and first pregnancy

Now that I am pregnant with this baby, it may have the antigen and my body could attack the baby.

So far my levels are 1:1 which is low and the doctor will be monitoring me every 2 weeks to see if my numbers go up.

I am so upset about this. Has anyone had experience with this during their pregnancy? What was the procedure once you reached 16-18 weeks? Was baby born premature??

Please, any information or advice is welcome...

I have this, however, mine came from a previous blood transfusion and my husband did not come up positive. I don't have any other experience to share, I'm sorry. I hope things go okay. Sounds like you're being carefully monitored.
