Greenlee for a name.. Is it too weird?

I've loved the name Greenlee since before I had my son.  My mom watches All My Children and that's where I heard the name.  I would love to name my girl this and my DH is on board with it, but i'm the one that keeps wondering if it's too weird. 

Honestly what do you think?  I know their is a name board, but I mostly post here and wanted your opinions.  If we choose to use Greenlee her full name would be Greenlee Nichole(my mn) Kohan.  Thoughts?

I watch AMC too, so I automatically thought of her.  I always thought it was a strange name, but it's growing on me (probably just because I watch the show though  LOL!!).

It's sort of weird, but at least people can say it.

The area you live in will make a big difference for how this will effect your baby's life to have a strange name.

I don't know much about Penn, so I don't know what type of things pass as ok around there.

I like it!  I know there is someone on 0-6 that used it as a middle name, I believe the whole name is Charlotte Greenlee, and I've always remembered that because I love it!  My DH isn't as cool as yours....he doesn't like it, so I'll give you the go-ahead to name her that in my honor.  You're welcome

Definitely NMS.  If you really love the name, then you should name your baby that.  It's your baby.  If you are worried about what others will think, I think you should reconsider.

I LOVE LOVE that name and wanted to use it if we were having a girl (but we are not, alas). I've always seen it written as Greenleigh, though.

Use it if you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks!?

I like different names and I do really like Greenlee.  However, it sounds more like a middle name to me.  Parks' daughter Charlotte has it for a middle name and I think it is very complimentary to a first name, male or female.

It is my sister's middle name, and I love it.  It had been my maternal grandmother's maiden name, so there is family significance too.

Not a fan for me personally...but I saw go for it and start a trend! That's how names become mainstream anyways....I do think I prefer the spelling of Greenleigh though...

NMS.  I've never heard that name before but it might grow on me.  If you and DH love it then go for it!

I think it's beautiful! I'd spell it Greenleigh though. I just like that better on paper. It's a super cute name!

I like it because I am "used" to it from AMC. It's a name that many will not have heard of or may not like but it's also a name that I think would grow on most people who actually knew a sweet little girl with the name.
