Feeling a little ragey

Today, T and I went to the store to pick up some fruit after his well visit.  It's a higher end store that we usually don't go to, but all I needed was fruit, and they have great selection on that.  So, I park my car, go in, do my shopping, pay and come out.  Some crazy cakes parked so close to me that I literally could not get between my car and hers to open my car door to get in.  And, with a 29 week belly, there's no getting in the passenger side and climbing over.

So, I put my bags in, take T and go back in the store and ask them to page the owner of the vehicle.  We go back outside and wait.  Ten minutes later, this lady comes wandering up with her full cart of groceries paid for.  She never acknowledges me standing in front of our vehicles (she passed me on the way to the cars) waiting for her.  No big deal, I'm trying to stay calm.  I put T in his car seat and go stand back in front of our vehicles so I can be ready to get in my car when she backs out.  She finishes loading her groceries, returns her cart, then starts to walk away to another store!!!  I had to chase her down to ask her to move her vehicle.  How did she not notice that her car was so close to mine, not once, but twice?  Grrrrr....

What's making you ragey today?

Sounds like she was just oblivious to the whole thing--I bet she didn't even know she was being paged. Still very annoying. Why can't people park correctly? On the bright side, you got some nice produce!

Was this a The Fresh Market? I love that store--the music, the aroma, the displays--I think I could spend hours in there (without a toddler, of course!).

I am somewhat ragey that I might have to wait over a month to get my IUD removed. I thought I could have it done by my regular family practitioner as she does my PAP tests, but I have to be referred to an OB, which means being seen as a new patient and waiting longer for an appointment. Boo!
Yep, at Fresh Market.  I love that place, and could wander the aisles for hours too, but it's not for regular groceries, so I don't usually go in there.  Apparently for good reason.

You're getting your IUD out?  Does that mean we can hope for a BFP announcement soon?  ;;) Either way, that is super annoying about waiting that long for removal.  Did your FP put it in?  Maybe the OB will have an opening sooner than expected.

Ahhhh...that would have driven me over the edge. People are so stupid. My kid is making me ragey today. He hasn't napped yet and is getting on my last nerve. He climbs everything and would not get off the couch. He keeps looking behind it and yelling "Elmo"! I had to take him down no less than 10 times today because he won't listen. I had to keep showing him that his hug me Elmo doll was in his toy pile. The last time it happened I looked over the back of the couch to show him that nothing was there....welp his Elmo train set was :\"> poor kid. If he could write he would probably tell all of you that I'm making him ragey.
Isn't it crazy the things we misinterpret from our kids?  I think mine probably walks around in a constant state of frustration.  Hopefully he'll nap soon for you!
  • some people are just clueless...   I'd probably put some nails down behind her tires... but then again that would require bending down... ok forget it...

I got it put in with the providers I saw in Richmond, but I just assumed my FP could remove it since she does PAPs and all that. Oh well. You know what happens when you assume.

Yep, we're going to start TTC soon (well, as soon as I get this thing out of my uterus!). :)
I wish I could "love" this part way more than once.  How exciting!  D is going to be an awesome big brother.  Enjoy the *ahem* process :)
  • I'm too sleepy to be ragey, but I'll join you in some annoyance. My kid keeps trying to rip the foam safety bumpers off the furniture. I finally ended up tapping her hand a few days ago and she had a melt down. I felt so bad that I picked her up and cuddled her on the sofa.
Today she kept doing it again, staring right at me as she peeled it off. After numerous attempts to redirect and telling her no, I tapped her hand. Little stinker laughed at me. She apparently wanted me to tap her hand! I fail at discipline.

Also....It's cold and rainy. I have Godiva cocoa. BUT NO WHIPPED CREAM. As MM said, I'm a sad panda.

  • Lack of sleep is making me ragey. I have one month of pregnancy left and I want to sleep as much as possible before I have two newborns but noooooooo, my body hates me and won't stay asleep. If it's not a full bladder, it's hip pain, or heartburn, or just the effort of rolling over. Sheesh, boby! Let me rest! It's even more frustrating because DD is sleeping 13 hours per night but I can't enjoy it.

Also, I've had a sore throat and headache for 4 days. Blah!

    Whine over.

  • was she nice to you once she realized you needed her to move her car? I bet she was just oblivious to the whole situation but I would have been so pissed off!

I also love The Fresh Market and I went to one yesterday after my drs appt. I was alone so I took my time walking around but you're right, it's not the place to go for regular groceries. I had to get some fruit too and a few other things I can't get at other stores. But I totally took my time in there :) The candy aisles are amazing, I was tempted to get some, soooo tempted. But I got green bean chips instead.
