While I was Away

Lots of things happened over the Christmas break from work.  I feel like everything happened so fast.  Maybe it was because I was with her all day every day and we were able to work on things more. LO rolled over FINALLY! She tolerates her tummy again FINALLY! She started sitting on her own completely.  She was rocky before but now she sits and plays with very minimal toppling over.  She said her first word.  "Mama" She had been saying it when she was in a crying state and I just thought it was a sound to her, but she's saying it in reference to me.  Without a doubt in my mind. lol.  Several people have witnessed this awesomeness too so I have confirmation that I am not wishfully thinking. Now my FIL just text me at work and told me she has her first tooth!!!

So it made me think. What awesome exciting things are your LO's doing recently that's new?

Re: While I was Away

  • Scooting everywhere on his butt, he started pulling up in his pack and play today and mine calls out mama everytime I leave the room :). Also anytime you ask him where's dada he looks around until he finds him, super cute.

  • H just sent me a video and I'm pretty sure Lily said "mom".  She has been making noises and saying what sounds like "dada" when playing and then screaming "ma" when she was upset.  She was standing on her own in front of a toy and said "mom".

  • LO is a rolling/scooting machine but showing no signs of crawling or pulling up yet which I'm totally fine with! He starts sitting right before Christmas and doesn't tip anymore unless he gets super excited. His 2 bottom teeth are completely out (and adorable!) and he is working on a 3rd. He says mama and dada and loves shaking his head no when you tell him no. They're so fun at this age!
