Hi! I think I did an intro a month or so ago when preparing to return to work but have just lurked since then so just in case it's been to long, DD is 3.5 months and SD is 12 yo living with us during school week and her moms on the weekend. I work full time as a social worker and have been at same job for 5 years. My commute is about 3 hrs per day and I'm in a position that I got pre-graduation from grad school so I'm underpaid but have a "promise" of being promoted in the next year. I really like my job but feel like I could earn a decent amount more based on my education now. So had a phone interview yesterday at a place with a shorter commute and presumibly higher pay. They called back by the afternoon offering me a face to face interview.
I have 0 leave hours right now. I should have like 4 hours by next week but have DDs 4 mo appt in 2 weeks that I'll need at least 2 hours for.
So my question is this, should I ask for the interview be delayed by 2 weeks so I have more leave or ask for another phone interview? I'm not sure how to say this without revealing I'm a new mom which I assume is a no no? Any advice ?

Re: New baby and new job interview
Honestly, I think both pushing for a 2nd interview to be on the phone and delaying it too much may cost you the job. Unless they are really interested in you they may just proceed with the candidates which are more accommodating. We would. If they haven't suggested a date for the 2nd interview yet you can certainly propose the end of next week and hope that works for them.
