This made me get all sentimental and I went searching and found my first and second (positive) chart, that I had of course done on the paper that came with my thermometer before I knew about FF. Also, I never tested until day 14 because with the little I knew at the time I really didn't believe that anyone could get a positive test that early.
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
My mom got sentimental the other day and pulled out her paper chart from the cycle she got pregnant with my twin and me. It was from 1984... pretty sure Excel wasn't a thing back then. She said that was how people did it in the "dark ages"
sorry if i'm a little old school with it and it's on paper, but since i'm at work i don't have it with me. i can put it up later when i'm home
Check out fertilityfriend.com (you can click my ticker for a quick link to take you there). Most uf us use the FF site for charting. Sign up, and you should be able to enter all your temps and other info. Then you can use the sharing feature to link your chart here. FF is nice because it does the calculation of your O date for you.
Thanks i'll go on here when i get home so i can post it for everyone.
I haven't gotten to the store yet without my husband there to buy a stick, that's why i'm getting it tonight. I've seen where some women surprise their husbands in a cool way and i can't really do that if i'm buying a HPT in front of him, i also don't want to get his hopes up if it's BFN
Wait...your husband doesn't know you are TTC? Any woman who is TTC buys pee sticks. The act of buying pee sticks implies nothing about whether or not you are pregnant...just that you are not using protection when having sex. I'm not sure why your DH would think differently?
oh no sorry if I said that wrong, but we are still very new to this TTC so I guess our thought was to only buy when we think we might be pregnant and use then vs keeping them around at all times. The surprise is for when not total shocker for him. He knows, it was both of our decision to go off the pill.
I just got home, but I'm having some issues with being able to enter data on fertility friend.com, jefa621 you mentioned being able to walk me through the site? I set up an account and when I click on the enter data it doesn't do anything

@lakerschen .. not trying to sound snarky but why dont you take a picture of your chart and attach it to the post? no offense but i think the general census is that your story isnt adding up so i pic of ur chart would make your story a tab bit more believable.

Sure, let me know what you think! I'm still learning about the fluids so s - slick, d - dry, and w- wet/lotion like. Some days I wasn't sure what to put. And you always do morning right for taking temps? Like I said I'm a complete newbie so helpful advice is great. I heard you don't temp during the period, is that right? I've only done this one since I just went off bc so I wish I had a pattern to see if it's all just the norm

I suggest reading up on FF and buying a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Those should cover the basics and any questions you might have.
people seem to recommend ff pretty highly so I've set up an account and I think it'd be easier doing it online since I didn't have a lot of room to write each day on the paper and they have an app. I don't have a home computer so that's why I hadn't done anything online before. Hopefully it helps! Thanks

And yes many of you are being very helpful and full of advice, but I don't think anyone comes on here to be bashed. Aren't we all trying for the same thing?
OOOH! OOOH! The pregnancy boat! I miss the pregnancy boat.

Do you not read posts at all? She didn't say she was keeping TTC a secret from her husband, she said she wanted to surprise him with a BFP if she got one. I don't see what's so wrong with not having him know she is testing at all so it is a complete surprise for him.
You O'd on CD 17 so you are now 13 dpo. Since you don't know how long your normal LP is (it could be anywhere from 10-18 days) you are not late yet. But a pg test would be accurate now.
Seriously guys, I'm new to all this. I've had cervical cancer and was told I couldn't have kids. So no I never thought this possible. And I'm seeing mixed reviews with you all on the test too.
I was on bc because my Dr didn't want to risk pregnancy til I was healed

I'm sorry if you have dealt with cancer however, I do not believe you didn't know you were coming here to piss us all off.
I totally took it as she just came here to piss us off. No one is that damn stupid to not see that line. This is the worse kind of drive by IMO.

I am sorry you dealt with that, but then why were you on birth control?
I was reading a lot that it could take months to get the hormones from birth control out of the system, but I've been off for a month now. My normal time to start my period would've been tuesday/wednesday but now it's thursday and still nothing. I'm having some slight cramps but they feel more at my ovaries than where my monthly cramps usually are and they're MUCH lighter feeling. I feel wetter (tmi, i know) but I'm at a loss. I went off BC b/c my husband and I feel like this would be a perfect time to have our first (and since it's our first i'm a bit clueless). I've had some odd symptoms for about a week too: nausea but only twice after certain things i ate, going to the bathroom all the time and much thirstier than normal. Also i always crave sweets before my period but this time i'm not craving anything! i could care less what i eat because nothing seems appetizing. I would really appreciate any help!!!
And why wouldn't you have mentioned this in your very first post if you thought there was no way it could happen? It seems odd you talked about the perfect time to TTC, but not mention you were told you couldn't conceive.

@lakerschen If you can't see what is pissing us off, in the fact that you come here only to show us that your pee stick is positive, than you're even more dense than I thought.
I'm sorry that you had cancer, but go directly to First tri, do not pass Go, do not collect 200$
I just don't know what to say. Everything you say seems half informed or contradictory or something. Trolling, overwhelming naivety, I don't know what it is but it makes me sad either way.
I'm sorry that you had cancer. Congrats on the positive.
Oh and you took BC after having cervical cancer? That's not a good idea.
This was my first thought. Isn't that one of the big huge warnings plastered all over hormonal BC? That smell is getting worse.

Wow OP, you get everyone in a tizzy, wasting their time trying to help you with your damn charts, only for you to all of a sudden turn up pregnant...you, madame, are just all sorts of wrong.
