I have my level 2 ultrasound to check the white spot on the babies heart and get some of the measurements they couldn't get last week. 1pm EST. Good luck to everyone today!
I don't have anything until next week, but wanted to say good luck to everyone. I agree, @colllydon, that I'm sure all is well. Looking forward to updates later today!

I think I technically have three appointments today - do I win?
At 2:30 eastern, I have the fetal echocardiogram, to see if everything is okay with the baby's heart (it is one of the possible reasons we had the above average/high measurement at the NT scan). Super nervous about that one. Afterwards I have my anatomy scan - I'm curious to see if the umbilical cord does, in fact, only have two vessels instead of three, and if there were any other issues (the sonographer couldn't really see some stuff with the bladder, so I'm hoping it's just that she couldn't get a good look when we were there a few weeks ago).
Then at 4, I have a regular appointment with my OB/GYN - pretty much a regular check-up, see how my BP is doing. So fun.
The kicker is that my DH isn't coming to the a/s. Too crazy with his work, he had to take off twice for the amnio (once for the failed amnio, once for the real one), so when I was upset last night about this, we arranged to have his mom come with me to the first appointment. At least if I get bad/off/whatever news, I won't be alone. So, yay?
So my hubby (who refused to do this before) broke down and agreed to doing an elective u/s so we can find out the sex. We are going this Sat! Bringing both sets of parents with us since this will be the first grand child on both sides.
I'll be 18w - they should be able to tell at that point right?

You should be able to! I found out Tuesday at 18 weeks
Had my 16 week check up this am. Went well, irregular HB rhythm (posted sep. about this). HB is 124bpm, so still nice and strong. Baby moved around so much it took OB about 10 mins to find HB. Baby is nice and active and kept pushing back on the Doppler OB says I'm gonna have my hands full!

Just got back - everything went well Heard the baby's heartbeat, it is such a high, every time!
A/S is 2 weeks from today, how will I ever wait that long!!!!!
Just had our anatomy scan this morning. .. It's a boy! The tech only said she was 98% since his legs were a bit closed... I'm thinking 98% is still a sure thing?
Just waiting until 130 pm to go get my original a/s done. Had an emergency one before Christmas and got to find out sex early. Btw I was told to get a second opinion from my bf. I told him not to go since I had to get him out of work for the last one as we were admitted to hospital. Anxious to see everything is good. Last time her heart was small. See if she grew. She is measuring chubby they said. Lol I didn't know 9 oz was chubby. That's the size of some hamburgers. Lol.
Anyways. My parents are divorced and my mom suggested I invite my dad today instead of her to be nice. I reached out. He must be working or sleeping. He is also a nurse but travels and works nights
Big plus!!! I get to bring SD with me. She is 5 and had school so I didn't ask but daddy said yes!! FYI she is in preschool/head start half days so not a real big deal anyways. She can't wait to see" Benis" get her pictures taken. That's her baby name.
Tomorrow I have an check up and chiropractor appointment and message!! Busy days for this girl.
Mine went great! Baby is perfect. The doctor said the white spot should disappear and I only had a 1 in 6000 chance of ot having DS so there was no need to do any more testing.
Uneventful appointment. Tests came back normal, heartbeat was good... My uterus is measuring ahead but that is normal for me. So everything is good and I should stop stressing.
I had my anatomy scan this morning... All looked great and healthy baby.... The kicker: about 1 month we had a fun little ultrasound at my work by one of the doctors who was "75% sure it was a girl" Baby kept it's legs crossed almost the entire time but opened long enough to give us a shot of HIS manhood..... Totally SHOCKED!!!!!
Just got back from my a/s. Everything looked great and measuring right on time! My heart skipped a few beats when the tech said a doctor (not mine) would be in at the end of the appointment to get a look herself, but the doctor just explained that not everything can be picked up by ultrasounds, so they can't say everything was perfect, but that ours was "as close to perfect" as it could be. And DD really liked seeing and hearing the heart!

Everything seems fine! Measuring about a week ahead still (19w5d vs 18w5d), heart looks good (my big worry!!!), and it does look like it is still a two vessel cord. Not ideal but the least of all of my worries.
I'm a little peeved that they MIGHT have done the test for Noonans without my consent (if they did it it isn't back yet, so I'm not entirely sure), so I'll wait and see if I have to bitch someone out later.
Just now able to catch up on this thread, @colllydon so excited for you! I knew everything was fine!!
@chickpea912 so glad to hear everything went great at your appointment! What is the issue with a two vessel cord? I've only ever even heard of this from you.
Congrats to all of you ladies with you're awesome appointments today!
I had a super long appt today (one of many). Left home at 12 and arrived at the OB at 1:00, but was not taken back until 1:30/45. Since I switched practices right before 2nd tri, I still had an obligatory Nurse visit to complete where they go over my history and what the pregnancy looks like at their practice. Since I am having twins, that visit was longer because they had to give a "twin talk" where I learned about all the different tests and appointments I will have. I am really happy with how this practice handles a high risk/multiple pregnancy. After that, I had to go back to the waiting room for another 30ish minutes and wait for my OB appt, where I had a pelvic exam and doppler check. The OB did not find both heartbeats (she did not even realize she was looking for two until I told her), so I got scheduled for an u/s to take place in 45 minutes. I was able to take a quick trip to Starbucks, then back to the OB at 4 for an u/s. Babies are both great; measuring around 17 weeks with hbs in the 150s. We tried to look to tell the sex, but the tech said "she did not see any distinct boy parts, but did not see clear girl parts either." I thought I saw the three lines on at least ONE of them, but I guess we will have to look again at my next u/s. The appt was finally over around 4:15, and I got to go home…a 50ish minute drive. I am grateful for such a thorough practice and all the appointments and ultrasounds to check the twins, but man these 4 hour appts are exhausting!

@chickpea912 so glad to hear everything went great at your appointment! What is the issue with a two vessel cord? I've only ever even heard of this from you.
Congrats to all of you ladies with you're awesome appointments today!
@SNLT1012 Most umbilical cords have three vessels - two arteries and a vein. Since my first amnio appointment, including today, they have only seen two vessels in the umbilical cord - one artery and one vein. In most cases, it is a total non issue, although in some cases, it can be a soft marker for some things, including Down's. Since I'm clear for Down's, the only issue it could pose is IUGR - basically a growth restriction, since the cord delivers and takes away nutrients for the baby. This means I would get regular growth checks to make sure baby is growing okay. But I ALREADY do this because one of the consequences of my high blood pressure could be growth issues, so it actually doesn't impact my actual care at all (I'm already doing those regular growth u/s checks.
Considering I'm still measuring a week ahead, I'm hoping this means that once again, the bp and, in this case, the cord issue, won't have much of an impact on the size and development of the baby.
Had the a/s today everything seemed to look good however will have to wait for my OB appt for review it more. The little bugger was quite comfortable and wouldn't move from her position but with some tossing and turning on my part they got what they needed to. And we found out we are having a GIRL!!! So excited!!!
So then it sounds like in your case, @chickpea912 you don't really have much to worry about then? Everything is coming back perfect? That's really, really great news if I'm understanding correctly!

This makes me want to bf forever. I HATE having my eyes dialated.
In my dream last night, though, the dr did an us for me to find out the sex. I wish I could do that today!!!!
I also had a dream that I couldn't put together a breast pump. I felt very inadequate!
Good luck today guys!
We couldn't be more thrilled!!
