Benched Check-In!!

Who's still waiting with me?  Last week we also had @Canuck13, @tippytoes06, @hope2bmom83, and @kam10.

Anyone newly benched?  If so, why and for how long?

For the rest of us, how is the bench going?  How much longer do you think you'll be benched?

The bench is going.  Most days I'm fine with it, but I REALLY want to know what my RE is going to recommend next.  I'm big on needing to be mentally prepared and I do not like surprises.  I can handle anything, but I just want to know what it is.  I should ovulate in the next 3-4 days, so I am guessing that we can pick back up with the treatment cycles at the end of January/beginning of February.  Since I'm unexplained, we have no idea whether there is any chance at conceiving the old fashioned way, so we'll be HIO just in case. 

QOTW: Twilight.  I got so totally sucked in to them.  They are terribly written, but I could not put them down.  I think I read the last one all the way through on a week night.  I was a total junkie.  And my husband outed me in front of a bunch of people I barely knew.

I'm still here...hoping to have a plan soon. I have a f/u apt with my RE on Monday to figure out how he wants to move forward. My OB said a two month break after surgery, but I'm interested to hear what he has to say since our original plan was to have a month break on BCP to get the HSG done. I'm hoping that he will say that the month of BCPs with the HSG will count as part of the two months which would put us cycling mid Feb.

Yay the bench check-in is back!!!  I am still benched. I'm thinking i'll be benched until May.  However, the last two months I have ovulated naturally!  The weight loss seems to be working!!  I am so hopeful that maybe we could actually do this with out treatments.  You know the reason we went to the RE is because I was not ovulating thanks to the PCOS.  This cycle was tough, I had once again convinced myself I was KU during the 2WW (haven't we all done that?).  Anyway, I am spotting now so AF should be here maybe tomorrow sometime.  I ordered fertility blend for DH so maybe we can get some good swimmers and make this happen!  Good luck to everyone!!

As of this morning, I am no longer benched! But I wanted to check in with you lovely ladies anyway! The nearly 40mm cyst on my left ovary is gone, so we were cleared this morning to proceed with IUI #3.

However, I may be back in a few weeks This is our last IUI before the RE wants to move to IVF. If this IUI fails, then we'll be putting ourselves on the bench while we try to save up for IVF. So, I'm still considering myself benched because I really have no hope for this cycle.

QOTW: I have too many guilty pleasures - food wise, it's peanut butter. I love to get a big ol' spoon and eat it from the jar. lol. Non-food guiltiest pleasure would probably be the lame and poorly written "sex books" that I read during non busy season (like fifty shades, etc). I just can't help myself....

I am benched for at least this month and maybe next month.  This month I am benched because my DH came down with the flu and my DR wants me to be as healthy as possible to cycle. So he cancelled the cycle just in case I catch my husband's flu.  

I may be benched next month if I can't figure out what is causing my persistent cough. One doctor said acid reflux. The ENT says it is still either uncontrolled acid reflux or post nasal drip. I am on two types of acid reflux meds now. The ENT just put me on Nasonex and Singular. If my cough does not go away, I have to go to a GI doc and get scoped. If I have do that I will be benched for February too. 

I am pretty upset about being benched to be honest. We just got started after waiting six years for the timing to feel right. 

QOTW: My guilty pleasure is pretty much anything ice cream related. However, I am learning not to give in as I am trying to keep my blood sugar under control.

Guess I will join you ladies on the bench. I have been benched for 2 weeks because of cysts.

I guess I am still technically benched from medicated cycles. Does that put me on the bench? It is weird because the last few months we have been TTA so even an unmedicated cycle seems like more progress that I was making.

I was put on the bench yesterday. I've got some really huge cysts after we had to cancel last cycle. I'll be here for at least a month, probably 2. My RE has done one crazy cycle with me and is convinced I should go straight to IVF.

I'm starting to really question this guy's motives and will be seeking a second opinion at the end of February. If we have to go the IVF route then we'll probably be benched until the summer. I'm definitely not taking this all well and will be seeking counseling in the mean time...

Still warming the bench over here until I meet with Re for follow up! I haven't actually even called the office to BOOK my follow up so should probably do that tomorrow.

Guilty Pleasure is really cheesy reality tv, like The Bachelor....and sometimes even worse, anyone see "Love in the Wild" or "Beauty and the Geek"? Ya, pretty bad...lol

Take care of yourself and definitely get a 2nd opinion for yourself. I'm happy you will be seeking counseling.

@ronniesgirl1981 I was a total Twilight junkie as well!  Happy Birthday too!

@DayDreamSam so frustrating to wait another cycle due to someone else's incompetence!
