Brushing gums and or teeth?

Has anyone started doing this with their LO? My LO doesn't have any teeth yet so I'm not sure if I should bother brushing his gums yet. He got one of those fingertip toothbrush things for gums in his stocking. Should I go ahead and make that part of our routine? And if so, would it be part of morning routine or bedtime routine? FTM problems! TIA!!

You can just wipe with a washcloth or gauze (from what I hear on TB lol). I need to start but suck at remembering to do these things.

We have two teeth and I keep forgetting to clean them. I really need to buy one of those baby toothbrushes and make a part of his nightly routine since we are weaning from middle of the night feedings.

I let her gum her toothbrush every night as part of bedtime routine. She loves it. When she gets teeth I will help her and add baby safe paste.

I brush her two teeth and gums with a baby toothbrush and baby toothpaste every morning when I get her dressed. It's more to get her used to it so it's not a struggle later. Before she had teeth I used a washcloth on her gums

Per our pedi, no paste until he is 2. Just water for now.

We have this toothbrush. I put a little strawberry banana tooth paste on it and brush his two little teeth then he gums it for a while. I'm obsessed with it it's so rubbery and he can't choke hisself because of the handles.

We have a little toothbrush and use water on her two teeth. The dr said a wet washcloth is good too. It's just to get her used to it more then cleaning her teeth.

I try to remember to brush her gums. I should more often, she can get some stank breath

This. I've moved to the brush since LO does have teeth. It makes life much easier if they're used to you cleaning their gums and teeth from an early age - less of a fight once they're older. We also have a tooth brushing song we always sing while we're brushing!

ETA I do use baby toothpaste.
