How long did your initial engorgement last?

I had DS2 by c-section on Friday and my milk started to come in at the beginning of day 3.  I was engorged with DS1 and I know it subsided but I don't remember it lasting too long.  Right now I'm on day 3 of engorgement with no signs of it letting up.  DS2 seems to be nursing really well and having lots of wet and poopy diapers so he seems to be getting plenty of milk and latching on without problem yet my breasts aren't adjusting.  They are still rock hard and huge.  They are painful if I put pressure on them and I feel like having my arms forward pushes on them because they are so swollen but otherwise don't bother me too much so I'm trying not to do anything else to them but I am wondering when this will subside.  It is getting really annoying and I'm worried about getting mastitis or clogged ducts.

I can't remember exactly but I believe my engorgemt lasted about 2-3 weeks or so. I would still get engorged if I hadn't nursed in a few hours but now at 6 months it takes more than 6 hours to make me feel engorged.

with baby #2 I was engorged for a few days to a week. Ow... it was horrible! The pediatrician recommended to use an electric pump to get it all out.
