I've been home with the boys the past 2 days since it's been cold and the little one is on antibiotics and taking breathing treatments twice a day.
Anyways about 11 this morning the boys were getting snacks and it was the utility guy at the door telling me they were going to cut off the power in 30 minutes. Needless with the temp at 5 with a -15 windchill 2 kids and 3 geriatric dogs that was going to be an issue. Anyways I cranked the heat up to 80, moved the dogs crates from the basement to the main floor. Left them with blankets and water then bundled the boys up and packed up the nebulizer. Of course they turn off the power before we could leave so I had to manually override everything.
Thank god my mom's husband was home (they live about 15 minutes away in the city) and my mom got off early today. I'm just so mad because they (Utility People)were out last night & if I had known I may have taken the boys to daycare or at least made other arrangements since little man is sick. We have some elderly neighbors too, so I am sure they had to find somewhere to go.
Oh and DH yelled at me for leaving all of our facets dripping because it would run up the water bill. Next time I'll not leave them dripping & see what happens. So that's the thanks I get. Sorry this was so long.
