XP: is this normal toddler behavior?

i have twins, a boy and a girl, and it's really hard not to compare the two, especially for a ftm who is extremely paranoid.  my girl is very active, likes to play around and is pretty rough and tumble.  she does have her moments where she sits and reads or plays by herself.  my boy however, can be very playful, but just not as much as her and likes to "lounge" more.  when we are downstairs, he cuddles and rolls around with a body pillow and is just "chill".  he likes to lie down and just rest or cuddle.  i don't think he's tired, though.  but the flip side is when we are upstairs, he does run around more, maybe because there is more space. anybody else have a toddler that's more prone to "lounging" sometimes? or is this something i should call the dr about?

Normal!  I know how hard it can be not to compare your kids to other kids and doubly more so when you have twins.  My friend is a mom of twins and struggles not to compare them to each other and to others.  Enjoy discovering more about your children's different personalities as they grow.

It's totally normal.

I have a twin neice and nephew who are 5. The girl is crazy busy, wants do, see and participate in everything. She loves to run around and be outside etc. She has a lot of common sense/real life/people skills.

My nephew is a lot more chill. He's great with a book and an Ipad for hours. He prefers the more calm blocks/coloring stuff than running around. He's kind of shy. He's the super book smart one in the family.

Niece loves to boss my 2 year old around and play house with her etc. Nephew will get right down to her level and actually play. Neither is wrong, Just a different interaction.

Kids are who they are. If it's not a new pattern he's totally fine.

I think it's completely normal.

DD1 was a lot like your daughter as a toddler. She's always played independently very well and is very, very active. She's also never been a huge cuddler. DD2 sounds much more like your son. She loves to cuddle and will sometimes drive me a big nuts because that's all she wants to do. She will play independently or with her sister, but I think she'd rather just cuddle or read with me.
It's been interesting to see how different their personalities are. I think DD1 is more like my husband and DD2 is more like me.
